Diarrhea Doberman’s

What is going on with Purina? Last 3-4 bag where different in color and one looked like it was scraped up last batch off the purina floor, one was missing large chunks and next was with large chunks then next was missing and lighter color then missing chunks and dark color. Diarrhea and treated with metronidazole and chicken and rice. I’ve called chewy with every bag. Not looking for free looking for what product I ordered to be what is in the bag. They suggested calling purina, also said they will put the batch number in their system and see how many complaints they are receiving. Looks like enough for maybe THEM to reach out to purina. When it’s available it’s always different amd not that I want to switch them but.. I’m not getting my dogs sick anymore. So frustrating

sad I can’t find this food anywhere

Both of my huskies love this food, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I hope it wasn’t discontinued. I’ve tried giving my boys similar foods and look up rating’s. All of them have been making my boy’s have loose stools. The only one that didn’t was purina pro plan lamb and rice. Please bring it back soon.

Price keeps jumping!

I have a Great Dane with a sensitive stomach. He's 2 years old and I've been feeding him Purina Pro Plan sense he was 3 months old. The price started out at $68 a bag, then it jumped to $78, now it's $83. And this is with a 5% discount. Getting too expensive. He eats 12 cups a day. Switching him to something else is going to be a nightmare. Ever cleaned up Great Dane diarrhea? So this review isn't about the product itself.. more about the company increasing their price by 22%. Ridiculous!

4 sick dogs

We got this food in a pinch because our normal food has been out of stock for a while, well needless to say we did a transition to this food and we have 2 large dogs and two small dogs. Well they all had the exploding diarrhea for two weeks after introducing this food to them. They still get it randomly after a month of feeding it to them. Not sure if its something bad in the food or what. The dogs behavior is normal they just have exploding diarrhea randomly in the house. Definitely wont be getting this food again.

What Happened?

Not sure if Purina changed the formula for the lamb and rice pro plan or what. My dogs have loved this food for years but only eat enough to satisfy their hunger lately. This has been going on for the last 2-3 bags. I've also noticed they eat grass more and yak it up. No diarrhea or serious vomiting though. The food smells a little different as well almost like it's bad but hard to tell because this food has always had a pretty strong smell. Sad to have to find another food now.

Great food when you can find it

This food is out of stock constantly. I stay getting it from so many different places. It's out of stock now at Chewy. My only complaint about this food, and it has been worse and worse the last year, is the amount of crumbs in the bag. Its terrible and getting worse. I see all the comments about it got shipped too rough, full of crumbs. No, it's actually packaged that way. They last 12 bags Ive opened in the last 6 months, both buying in store and shipped have had about 2 inches of crumbs in the bottom and all over the food when first opening. Irritating when you have to feed big dogs and they don't want dust. Will be switching back to Diamond if it keeps up much longer which is a shame because my dogs look great on it and like it.

My dog eats anything purina

So unsurprisingly he loves this flavor too! I haven’t noticed any differences in his skin or stomach, which can be sometimes sensitive. So I’m happy with this product too. For reference, he’s a 3 year old medium sized mutt. He hates the Wellness brand, and is OK with most others but Purina is what I guess is his highest taste test rating!

PP shredded formula

We have fed ProPlan lamb and rice formula from puppy to current. Made the change to adult in Jan but ordered the shredded formula in May because it was the only lamb and rice available. My dog almost immediately after starting had diarrhea until we were able to find the regular formula. Not sure what the difference is but I’m stuck with a 48 lb bag now

My 4 big dogs kinda depend on having food everyday...and if I cannot depend on Chewy getting the food to me then I have to do something else. I can't just change their food abruptly when I run out of this food . Ever hear of BLOAT? Look that one up.

boris now a big puppy needs adult yums

Boris now 10 months. transitioned to purina adult lamb and rice. have 3 old Englishes boris loves the older dogs food and they like his food doing my best but guess they can share...cut back on canned dog food people meats ..they r now eating more of their kibble. yeah wish me luck thanks for asking
