When we first got our puppy she was having some tummy issues with her chicken based kibble and every time we tried to transition her back onto it her issues got

When we first got our puppy she was having some tummy issues with her chicken based kibble and every time we tried to transition her back onto it her issues got worse. We ordered the lamb version and she's done so well on it! No more tummy issues, great sized poos, and she loves it enough to use as a low value training treat. She's now a year old, so we're transitioning to an adult food, but I'd consider it again for any of my future puppies.

We love this food for our puppies! They are larger breeds so we feed a bit extra to accommodate their activity levels. The ingredients are all what I would feel comfortable feeding, and the protein is lamb based. I do not like feeding chicken protein as it is typically full of meal, but the lamb option is great!

Our two 8 wk old puppies had been started on this at the rescue organization. We didn't want to change anything until they'd seen our vet. When she recommended the same brand, I felt confident that we'd made a good decision. The puppies tolerate it well, no GI upset (unless they happen upon an unintentional 'snack' outside of meal time) or gassy emissions. Our food-motivated pup doesn't require any coaxing, he gobbles it up. Our more reserved pup takes a bit longer to finish his meal. We're on our 4th large bag of this and plan to stay with it.

Significant improvements

Our puppy had some bad itchy skin when we brought him home. He originally was on Kirkland puppy food from breeder. We upgraded that to a higher rated brand but isolated

Our puppy had some bad itchy skin when we brought him home. He originally was on Kirkland puppy food from breeder. We upgraded that to a higher rated brand but isolated the chicken meal as the cause of the itching. This ProPlan formula switch got rid of the itching finally. Pup eats the food very well. I wish there was some shredded blend to it but for now he’s very satisfied with the food.

Recommended but Upset Pup’s GI System

We recently adopted an adolescent GSD pup & this is this & the chicken version is what she was already on @2 cups 2Xdaily. It was going right through her system

We recently adopted an adolescent GSD pup & this is this & the chicken version is what she was already on @2 cups 2Xdaily. It was going right through her system without adding much quality protein sources which she absolutely needs at her stage of rapid development. We have since gotten her system straightened out switching her to a species appropriate, balanced, raw diet. Donating remainder to our local rescue.
