This Weight Management Chicken Adult Small Breed Formula is formulated to encourage weight loss without unhealthy muscle loss. Plus, it is specifically made for small breed dogs under 20 pounds. If you're unsure, we recommend consulting with your vet for the best diet for your individual pet.

Why is the fat content so high if it’s for weight management? The one with larger kibble has less fat.

The Pro Plan Adult Weight Management Shredded Blend Small Breed recipe has 15% less fat than Pro Plan Small Breed Chicken & Rice recipe. The protein-to-fat ratio is optimized to maintain muscle mass during weight loss. Due to the formulation being different for the Small Breed recipe compared to the Large Breed recipe the nutritional values would be different.

Bought this in an effort to stretch my budget a bit further, since so many dog kibbles are going up. My female Chi loves this new food, loves the "shred" style of kibble. This will help her stay at a good weight. She was a bit overweight, but this food fills her up and keeps her from getting chubby.

I always thought Charlie was allergic to chicken until we tried purina he loves it!! I have bought several different flavors and the purina brands you offer. I don’t have to crush or break down the size of kibble and the morsels are so perfect for him! When I say “should we eat some big boy food now” my Charlie boy comes running!! Plus, chewy you have such quick service and I’ve had to get a couple refunds at times due to Charlie not liking what I bought and you have been excellent in helping me and I do appreciate all who work for Chewy!!
