Poor assembly design, not for small dogs

Assembly design is my biggest complaint, the pressure pin that gets inserted for affixing the swing door was extremely difficult to get in. It is also unable to be backed out. There is a plastic cover for the top of this pin assembly(not noted in directions), my unit was apparently misaligned, and I was unaware there was a metal pass through for the pin, so the gate was mis-attached and this cannot be undone. Other gates I have purchased were designed and packaged so the gate section came preassembled, and those gates feel more secure and reliable than this design. The bar spacing is also wide enough for puppy heads to pass through. While this is only a short term issue (as my puppy's head grows) I imagine for toy breeds this could be a bigger issue.

However it does not actually fit all measurements between 29-39. my 39 inch hallway is two wide for the small expansion piece but to narrow for the large expansion piece making this useless for the area i purchased it for. Works great in the 30in doors elsewhere in the house though. Just a bit misguiding to claim that full range of measurements.

Product description said fits opening 29" through 49". The gate came with 2 extensions, one of 6", one of 12". My opening is 39". The gate is too small with the 6" extension, or no extension, and too big with the 12". I was told by Regalo that I can buy a 6" extension. It was too late to return since you have to assemble the gate it to see if it fits and can not be unassembled so it no longer fits in its shipping box. I feel I should have been supplied with another 6" extension. Not happy!

This arrived broken I put it together in the last thing I had to do was the latch and it was broken. All the zip ties that were connecting it were broken. I didn't notice till after I put the spring loaded pin in. The latch is broke. The people who delivered it through it over my fence.

I actually bought this for a toddler coming to visit over the holidays and need to secure a hallway that led to stairs. My hallway is 47" wide and this fit perfectly, no adjustments needed! Hubby also loved that he didn't need to bolt it into walls, that it's held with tension. Very nice gate that perfectly met our needs.

Keep them off the carpet

The vet told me that it’s because I’ve had pad trained them. I was keepingthe door shut, but the air doesn’t circulate well in the house, causing it to smell more so I installed the gate so I can leave the doors open and it did take care of a great majority of the smell I was fighting for my two dogs. My home is 1400 feet upstairs and I have two little dogs, but if I don’t stay on top of the house they can cause it to stink andthese gates really helped me out to keep that smell down.

It’s extended out with the screw out jamb tension supports and is stable without attaching the screw in jamb cups. Covered the silver screw extensions with a white split wire cover which makes it complete. Not sure of the door swing claps on bottom of the door since the top latch only allows it to open 1 way. But works well and would purchase again.

Does not fit the entire space range

This gate is great if it fits. It comes with one section that has the door, one short extra section and one long one. It did not fit in my 43" doorway.

great for kitchen but can be very particular about size of width (measure!)

we made sure it fit the narrow kitchen area since it is a specific size of a gate with less expansion, but the door is so helpful
