Feeding Instructions

Mix one part powder into not more than three parts water and stir until blended. Microwave until it starts to boil, remove and stir. Alternatively, bring water to a boil on stove, remove from heat, and stir in powder. Let container cool, or immediately pour into a storage container or mold, and let sit at room temp until firm. The finished gel can be cut into cubes, shredded, or used as a whole slab. Whatever is not used immediately should be treated as fresh food. It can be stored sealed in refrigerator for up to two weeks, and in freezer for up to six months. Do NOT use more than three parts water or overhydration can occur.

Refrigeration will extend freshness.

Does it have a measuring explanation on what one part is?

One part is an inexact measurement. It can mean, for example, 1 ounce, 1 tablespoon or 1 cup. As long as the same measuring unit is used it will work correctly. If you use 1 ounce of powder you would mix into not more than three ounces of water.

does this work as a fruit fly medium

Better Than In n' Out.... For Millipedes!

I made up the concoction per the simple instructions and waited for it to cool. Within 8 minutes of dropping it into the enclosure, my pedes that were still burrowed, marched up (that many legs, theyMarch, not crawl), and were on it chomping down! Unbelievable!

My crawly creatures seem to love it. I sprinkle the prepared product with a bit of watermelon-flavored powdered food for geckos, also purchased from Chewy. Completely consumed every time.
