Is this safe for leopard geckos?

This food is great for insectivorous reptiles and amphibians like bearded dragons, skinks, dwarf monitors, salamanders and more.

How firm is the "gel" made by the directions? Can you hold it with tongs/tweezers?

Answer by ChewyApr 24, 2019
You should let the gel cool or immediately pour into mold and it will set at room temperature. You will be able to cut it into pieces or strips for feeding. It can also be fed as a slurry or paste.

Vet recommended

My vet recommended this instead of the other liquid food I was using when my Leo was recovering from a procedure and it's easy to make and feed. I used it as a slurry. The first ingredient is black soldier fly larvae which are supposed to be a healthy addition to a Leos diet.

Blue Tongue Skink likes it

I ordered this one because Chewy doesn't carry Repashy's Bluey Buffet. My blue tongue guy likes it but once this runs out I will switch back to the one formulated

I ordered this one because Chewy doesn't carry Repashy's Bluey Buffet. My blue tongue guy likes it but once this runs out I will switch back to the one formulated for BTSs. I wish that Chewy would stock Bluey Buffet.

My axolotl loves it

Saw some people say they used this for their axolotls. I tried it, and my axolotl loves it. Great for when I can’t find any worms for her!

Just a little pricey

I ordered this as a replacement food for my axolotl, as it's the only thing that can replace earth worms long term. He hated it but that's besides the point haha

I ordered this as a replacement food for my axolotl, as it's the only thing that can replace earth worms long term. He hated it but that's besides the point haha. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey for how much you get, and there was only a 3 oz option. Other than that, it was a wonderful product, the instructions were easy to follow, it wasn't super messy, it solidified really nicely. I wish my axolotl liked it so I had a reason to buy more.

pretty great!

The same quality you’ve come to expect from Repashy! My Beardies love this! It’s honestly a great alternative for when I have to travel and someone else who is squeamish

The same quality you’ve come to expect from Repashy! My Beardies love this! It’s honestly a great alternative for when I have to travel and someone else who is squeamish about bugs has to watch them. I cook this up and can portion it out for each animal for each day/feeding. It’s also great as a back up if you can’t get live feeders on time. Leopard geckos like it too when I tong feed them.

Worth buying

I've now tried this and bluey buffet. Both my bearded dragons and my skinks love it.

Hedgehog loved it

I bought this for my beardie, but unfortunately she won't touch it. I tried giving some cubes to my hedgehog (since they are insectivores), she loved it! Ate everything

Just not right for Muffin

Muffin the gecko has always had live bugs, until this week when I just forgot entirely to stop and get him his regular weekly bugs. I figured since I had (mistakenly) gotten this, thinking it was the bug feeder and clearly it is intended to be for the gecko itself, I would give it a shot. I followed the directions. I made 1/4 cup powder and 1/2 cup water mixture and let it cool, cut it into strips to look like worms and offered it to Muffin via tongs (he was spoiled as a baby and while he will absolutely hunt for bugs, he prefers roaches/hornworms/wax worms/silkworms be tong fed and he will play with his crickets throughout the week). I figured it can wiggle at the end of the tongs as it is gel-ly right? Nope. Muffin actually spat it back out. He does not like it... whoops. My bad for ordering wrong and forgetting live bugs but this stuff is a no go for Muffin.

got it for my leo, now it’s my beardie’s

Originally bought this for my very very fussy leopard gecko. She refused, so I figured I’d try to give it to my beardie. She loved it! Glad it didn’t go to wast
