if I can not buy this kind, what do I feed my rottie's?? seems it is sold out everywhere

Answer by JessJun 02, 2021
Feed a similar product. I’d suggest you still use Royal Canin but instead of looking at the breed specific line look at their size tailored nutrition and use the “Giant puppy”. I suggest using this formula because Royal Canin classifies Rottweilers as a giant breed.

What size is the kibble? I have Great Danes and just ordered the Great Dane formula, but my biggest Dane won't eat it and my other Dane thinks they are treats--because they are so big (he takes them to his bed one at a time to hoard!). Will these work for my 160lb. dogs?

Answer by ChewySep 13, 2019
Rottweilers have strong teeth and one of the strongest jaws of any breed. The larger size, shape and harder texture of this kibble is precisely designed for the breed.

Does this food have all the nutrients required to keep healthy skin and coat? And if yes, what specifically?

Answer by ChewyAug 27, 2024
This recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional guidelines set by AAFCO for maintainence. This means that it will provide the dog everything they need to live a healthy life including a healthy skin and coat. The ingredients that help with this are fish oil, chicken fat, Zinc, vitamins such as DL-alpha tocopherol acetate (source of vitamin E), biotin, and vitamin A.

It is stated earlier that it can be fed to a rottweiler between ages 1 and 7? On the rottweiler puppy food it says to stay on it until 18 months old. If I wanted to transition my puppy earlier at 1 year old, would it be okay to do if I transition him to the adult rottweiler version?

Answer by ChewyFeb 28, 2019
Different dogs mature at different rates. For a large breed pet this can be anywhere between 12-24 months. Your veterinarian can recommend the best time to start feeding adult food based on your dog’s specific needs.

We switched to Royal Canin for our boy because he was having stomach and GI issues with his previous food. The Royal Canin has been a great switch so far, and the kibble pieces are gigantic which is perfect because it slows down his eating - he takes one piece out at a time and chews it versus eating it all so fast. Hoping this one works in the long run for him!

Use it for my Dobermans

My Dobermans are 100lbs and love the big size of kibble, they like biting them instead of inhaling other products. Coat is shinny and they seem more satisfied.

My dogs would not eat it, the kibble size was way too big. I even mixed it with boiled chicken and they ate the chicken but not the kibble. I still have almost a whole bag left. It was money I lost. It’s as real shame because they loved the Rottweiler puppy formula. Wish they make the Rottweiler adult formula with small bits.

Arrived fast well packaged, Our Rotti loves it.

We are very pleased with this Rotti feed, slows down his eating since he can't just swallow it whole. He seems to think it's a treat rather than kibble.
