Answer by ChewyMay 16, 2021
Chicken by-product meal is made up of chicken that has been ground and cooked, reducing the fat content to create a protein-rich ingredient. It’s high in protein and amino acids to help strengthen and maintain your pet’s muscles. It’s also a high-quality source of glucosamine for joint health.

I have been ordering hundreds of dollars of Chewy food for my cats for years. But over the last few months we have had an infestation of pantry months in the cat food cabinets where we store food. Had to come from Chewy. I called customer service and got an apology but that was it. I am afraid to order any more dry food from Chewy.

This is the first food my bluepoint Siamese willingly ate after an episode of nonstop of vomiting where he couldn't keep food down. Even after anti-nausea meds, he refused to eat the prescription food from the vet. In desperation, I got this..He picked out these pieces specifically to eat and started eating small portions and recovered. Kept it all down. The big shapes forced him to eat slowly as well. My lesson learned after a $900 pet urgent care bill is to get him what his primary veterinarian had suggested in the first place when we got him. I had been skeptical because I was always taught that grain-free is better for cats.. but now there are studies that say certain legumes in grain-free pet food are bad for pets. This food is expensive but investing in prevention is cheaper than seeing my cat suffer, the expensive vet bill from GI-related Siamese dietary issues, and the stress of many sleepless nights on both our cat and us human caregivers when our fur baby gets sick and can't keep food down.

Avoid at all cost

I have a siamese who has been difficult with his poop. He came and had diarrhea from the one, I tried multiple stuff and probiotics and even though it got better

I have a siamese who has been difficult with his poop. He came and had diarrhea from the one, I tried multiple stuff and probiotics and even though it got better It was still a bit soft and he was going often. I lookd this up, hoping his diarrhea, multiple poops, and hunger will get better but it got WORST! So he did stop being so hungry all the time but the POOP WAS AWFUL. He got full on diarrhea and was going multiple times a day and it smelled awful. Will be returning.
