Feed a 22 lb Adult dog 1 - 3/4 cans per day or less if fed in combination with dry food. Adjust as needed. Refrigerate unused portion.
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
How are Royal Canin diets preserved?
All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.
Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?
Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain grains?
Grains can be a healthy part of any cat or dog’s diet. As always, we focus on the nutrients each ingredient provides and grains can provide many important nutrients.
How do you ensure Royal Canin diets are safe for my pet?
Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way.* We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase.* We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food.* We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers.* We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.
How do I know which Royal Canin diet is right for my pet?
Based on size, age, lifestyle, and breed, each cat or dog has unique nutritional needs. For healthy pets, use our Product Selector to find the right diet for your cat or dog.If your pet is experiencing health issues, please refer to your veterinarian for more information. Your veterinarian will consider multiple factors when recommending an appropriate diet.

My dog needs low fat, recently diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis and slight gallbladder. Use this as a topper and this is within our fat range. he's really liking this food. Ordered a case, worried it would come with cans dented. Chewy being awesome, had a box on top of the case protecting the cans. VERY IMPRESSED! Thanks chewy

Healing a Rescue Senior
By Mikeyandme on Sep 21, 2020
Our newest foster was emaciated and advanced heartworm positive. Her teeth are not the best so she needed soft food. Bonus: She loves this food. In two weeks, even going through her fast kill heartworm treatment, she has filled out (she was incredibly thin) and acts like a puppy. I was fussy about the food because we wanted to give her a fighting chance at survival. This food is one of the best choices towards her not only surviving, but thriving. Soft fur. Happy disposition. And cuddles like a pro. Our little foster is thriving through her treatment with the help of this yummy canned food.

My big Great Pyrenees/English Bulldog has been put on a diet, I have been giving her different weight management foods and there have been some that she just wont eat, some that are okay, and some that she likes. This is one of the ones that she likes and my collie agrees also!

This is NOT for your dog
By messy on Jul 13, 2020
I was surprised to open the Royal Canin, and it was a glob mushed together. No identifiable vegetables or meat. Pureed like cheap dog food. My dog turned her nose up to it. I expected more from them, especially being $3 a can, I rather buy food and make it myself

Flavor needs improvement
By SirToby on May 19, 2020
I bought this for my 12 year old Cocker Spaniel. He was eating Royal Canin dry, food, but needed something after mouth surgery. He plain old don’t like it. We bought another brand, and it was downed in seconds. Flavor needs improvement.

New addition to my pet's dinner
By GingerGirl on Jul 6, 2020
Great product. My dog loves it. It's a bit dense but what I like the most is that it's not greasy or watery.
