Feed a 22 lb Adult dog 1 - 3/4 cans per day or less if fed in combination with dry food. Adjust as needed. Refrigerate unused portion.

Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

FAQ

How are Royal Canin diets preserved?

All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.

Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?

We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.

Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?

Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.

Why do some Royal Canin diets contain grains?

Grains can be a healthy part of any cat or dog’s diet. As always, we focus on the nutrients each ingredient provides and grains can provide many important nutrients.

How do you ensure Royal Canin diets are safe for my pet?

Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way.* We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase.* We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food.* We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers.* We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.

How do I know which Royal Canin diet is right for my pet?

Based on size, age, lifestyle, and breed, each cat or dog has unique nutritional needs. For healthy pets, use our Product Selector to find the right diet for your cat or dog.If your pet is experiencing health issues, please refer to your veterinarian for more information. My dog is picky

    By on

My dog is so picky there is only one kind of treat he will eat. I wasn't sure if he would eat this food because if he doesn't like it he won't eat it but he seems to really like it! If Wyatt will eat it, any dog would!

    My dog loves this!

    By on

I was looking for a canned dog food for my senior dog. He was losing interest in his dry kibble. He seems to have a bit of a sensitive stomach, so upon reviews I decided to give this dog food a try. As soon as I open the can, he goes bonkers! I put 3 teaspoons a day mixed in with his dry kibble twice a day and he absolutely loves it and eats every bite, every single time. He has also shown more energy then his normal senior self. I'm so happy I tried this dog food for him.

    Great food for my pups!

    By on

I have switched all my pups (6 month old puppy, 4 year old, 12 year old & 15 year old). Our 2 senior dogs have been doing great with the Mature formula canned dog food. Yes, its a little more expensive but i think its worth it & will hopefully help us avoid the vet visits due to tummy trouble. Our 2 other young dogs are also on Royal Canin canned foods (fit for their age) & they love it. Digestion seems to have improved & they all get super excited when its meal time. I highly recommend Royal Canin canned dog food.

    He likes it!

My 8 yo GSD likes this better than the German Shepherd loaf and according to RC, it’s more appropriate for his age.

He likes it, but we love Chewy!

    By on

My boy actually seems to like this food. I just wish the can could be opened at both ends. The food is really very solid (good thing) and would make it easier to clean can for recycling purposes. As always Chewy deliveries are always spot on!

    Dog loves Royal Canin

    By on

My dog is 8 years old and my vet recommended putting her on a food product for mature/senior dogs. Royal Canin was one of her recommendations and my furry baby loves it. I mix it with dry food and the pate like consistency turns her meal into a chunky feast.

    Great For Older Dogs

    By on

I started to use this in combination with the Royal Canin kibble I was feeding myn12 yr old Goldendoodle. He was becoming bored with the kibble but once I started mixing this with the dry food he started eating everything in the dish. Good to see!

    Healthy dog food

    By on

Dog food is way too dry. Had to add water to this and kibble to make it eatable.

    My new food

    By on

Because of age related health issues, my mom had to find a new food for me. It tastes really good and makes me feel so much better. I’m back to enjoying our walks.
