    Macey likes it

    By on

I have been hunting for a food that my senior schnauzer with bad teeth can handle and like. I think I finally found it in this Wellness Senior Formula. I find it rather gross cause it is very mushy and not the best smelling but Mace is finally eating this food and he seems to have more pep and alertness, too. Just two small negatives -- 1st, very pricey; 2nd Mace is a VERY clean dog and he hates it when his mustache is covered in dog food so I have to get a wet cloth out and clean his mustache after he eats. He would clean it himself; however, that would be along my bedskirt or living room chair -- not at all to my liking. LOL

    Dented cans

    By on

My dogs really like this but I would rather deny my dogs canned food than to continue to buy dented cans. This is not a chewy issue, cans in the middle of a well packaged box are dented in four spots suggests the problem is from manufacturer.

    Relieves My Dogs Tummy Issues

    By on

I rescued a 13 year old abused/neglected chihuahua 3 years ago. He had constant stomach issues from the day I brought him home, his most frequent symptoms being bloating, gas and vomiting. I began feeding him this senior formula along with the matching senior dry food in June after 3 years of trying other brands. Since then he has not vomited! He was apprehensive at first but has really come around to the food now. Along with that he has increased energy levels and is all around more comfortable. If he continues to be this healthy, I will feed him this for the rest of his life.

Great to mix with hard food!!

I love this wet food! It’s good what my 11 going on 12 yr old husky/border collie mix needs and it has been seamless transitioning her from and chunky meat wet food to this. I was so nervous because she’s a genius and is so picky but she has no problem eating 2x a day. Her coat is amazing, we’ve seen many changes in her health on walks, energy, ability to sleep, digestion, and more. She likes warm food, so I personally take 3/4-1 cup of the wellness core senior dry and mix it with 3-4 tbsp of this product warmed up, we add her chicken flavor vitamins for mobility, sight, and overall multivitamin and she’s all set. Happy campers over here! Thanks Wellness. Thanks Chewy! Even through Covid we get I love this wet food! Good for Sensitive Seniors

Some wet food has given my 11- year old dog a mild allergic reaction (itchy skin and mucous membranes). This does not and she loves it.

    Dog eats it up

Our 14 year old mini poodle cleans his breakfast plate. We alternate at dinner with a vet prescribed Hills joint care. Good energy and a good sleeper.

    Wellness Senior Formula

    By on

My senior dog suddenly decided he didn't like his senior food anymore. After much due diligence, I decided to try Wellness Senior Formula. The first shipment came and he absolutely loved it. The second case came and it seems much watered down and not as fully packed. Both my senior dogs are not eating it as well. Has Wellness changed their formula? I will find out when I open the third case. I'm pretty disappointed.

    Couldn't eat it fast enough!

    By on

My 14 year old Border Collie has age-related tooth problems that have made it difficult to eat her old (Wellness brand) dry food. There's times she wants to eat, but can't due to the discomfort, despite softening it. She would not eat canned/wet food when she was younger, but that was a different brand. I've had all 4 of my dogs on Wellness brand food for the last 4 years and they all seem to like it. I decided to try the canned Wellness Senior food to see if she would eat better. Happy to report that she can't wait for the bowl to hit the floor! I'm not a fan of the wet/canned dog foods in general, but happy to recommend this particular product.

Appetizing for my dog going through cancer.

    By on

My pup Thor was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago and getting him to eat became more important than ever. For the first 10 years of his life, he consistently ate Science Diet Metabolic Dry food from our vet, but one day just refused to touch it anymore. To keep him eating, we tried boiled chicken and rice, and that worked for a while until one day he decided he didn't want it anymore. We then decided to try a wet food diet, because he had shown interest in wet food in the past and needed to continue to get the nutritional components of dog food. After extensive research, this formula of wellness wet food was our choice, and he is loving it! The formula being holistic and geared towards senior dogs makes me feel better about him getting the vital nutrients he needs at his age. The only "negative" thing I have to say about the food is that sometimes there's a build up of fat on the can wall. It's easy enough to get off the rest of the food, and I have seen a similar thing with other canned foods in the past (I work at a kennel), so it doesn't overly concern me. Regardless, I really recommend this food! … more
