My cat didn’t like it.

I was hoping my kitty would like it. He hates it. I called the vet today and she told me to try the chicken and rice recipe since transitioning to this one didn’t work. She thinks I should transition him using the same flavor as the one he loves. So frustrating. Second brand I try. He’s being picky and he can’t keep eating the regular food. It’s so hard to find prescription food and it’s so expensive.

Four Paws Up For Chewy!

It was the first time I had to order renal support food for my cat and Chewy made it so easy. They contacted my cat's veterinarian to get the approval and I received the food in a day or two. Plus, I got a nice discount for auto-renewals. Amazingly, my cat really enjoys the food. Paw-sitively great experience!

They actually like it!

My two elderly cats have recently developed kidney disease and my vet recommended a prescription diet for them. Problem is, they are super picky about what they will eat. I didn’t have high expectations that they would go for this, and it’s expensive, so I tried a small bag to start with. Lo, and behold! It’s been 3 weeks now, and they are still gobbling it up! (They are notorious for liking something new for a few days and then refusing to eat it after those initial few days.) At this point it represents the majority of what’s in their bowl (I’ve been introducing it gradually to prevent tummy upset). It’s gratifying to see them expressing some enthusiasm for breakfast again!

My cats live it!

I was really surprised how fast my picky cats took to it, even the cat that doesn’t need it.

Delicious prescription cat food

You may think dogs know when their chewy comes. I have a cat Arthur that knows when his food is here and immediately lays down on the box until I open it. I say to him, “Arthur your food is here “ and he goes right to the door with me while I bring it in.

Switch to F didn’t work for my cat

Since Chewy was out of the prescription S food from Royal Canin for quite a while, I tried F. My cat liked the taste fine; she’s rather picky about her food. Unfortunately, she has had diarrhea; it began a bit after she started the F version. The vet did a number of tests, but there was no obvious cause. Eventually It occurred to me it might be from the shift in food. She’s back on S, and her gastrointestinal issues seem to be resolving. In other words, just be aware that the difference in kidney support food types even within one brand can cause health issues. On the plus side, her kidney function improvement has been fairly significant with both types.

I was disappointed to find out that only the smaller sized bag of kibble was available. Made the price too high; it's bad enough already.

They'll Eat it!

With two cats that have renal disease, I was at a loss when they stopped eating the Science diet Renal diet. My vet recommended I look at Royal Canin. They both are eating again, which is critical. Thank you Royal Canin!!!

Kit kibble

He likes it! He eats it! He definitely doesn’t like them all and this seems to be a winner!
