Can a non diabetic dog eat this too?
Answer by ChewyOct 05, 2018
This food requires a prescription for purchase. Please ask your veterinarian to see if this food is right for your pet.

With the small bag of glycobance dry food, can I add water to it and make it soft and smash it?
Answer by ChewyJun 09, 2021
You may add a couple of tablespoons of warm (not hot) water to one serving of your pet's dry food. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to soften the kibbles, then serve. Moisten enough food for one meal feeding at a time so the food doesn't spoil. Do not leave moistened food out more than four hours.

Needed for

diabetes. when my pup eats it, he likes it. I have it available for him always, so it is not a feed every day option. He refuses to eat the wet glycobalance anymore, so having dry at the ready works for us.

Too expensive

I bet it did the job to control blood sugar levels. However, it’s way too pricey for the ingredients. Also, it looks like the food is hard to digest, because my puppy poop a lot now. If the price is lower, I’ll buy it again, but I will just do home-cook meals for my diabetic dog.

Smaller kibble

My diabetic furbaby loves the glycobalance but what doesn't he live to eat! The kibble needs to be smaller for little dogs and more availability of the smaller bag size

Diabetic pup

Moose was recently diagnosed with diabetes. It's been a challenge, to say the least, trying to figure out he can and can't eat, trying to get him to gain weight back, making sure what he is eating doesn't negatively affect his condition. The vet recommended this for him and he loves it. And the process to get it approved from my vet through Chewy was incredibly easy.

My Shitzu wouldn’t eat this when we first purchased. The vet recommended to mix a tablespoon of wet food with it. It definitely worked he eats well now.

finicky dog eats this.

My pup was recently diagnosed with diabetes and my vet recommended this food. He is a very picky eater and I have thrown out a lot of different dog foods. He is eating this well for me most of the time although not quite as much as the recommended serving size. He never was a morning eater and I have to get food in him for his insulin shot. I am happy he is eating this for me.
