  • My Cat Likes It!

    By on

Had to put my cat on this food because she was having allergic reaction to something and itching a lot. So far so good. Just started her on it so not sure it's going to solve her problem yet. She likes the food which is most important to her. It's a prescription food so our vet had to OK the purchase first but all of that was done via email to the vet and I had the food in 2 or 3 days from the time I ordered it. Chewy.com price was the best I could find on the sites I checked. Some didn't even carry the prescription version of the food.

  • Could not be happier

My cat was sick from the day we adopted her with loose stools and took us almost 6 months trying -grain free, sensitive stomach foods, home made food, all the while going back and fourth to the Vet to figure out she could not process certain proteins. As a last resort before spending hundreds on tests, our Vet prescribed Royal Canin HP and in 3 days she was fine. Love this food for helping my baby feel better.

  • No more food allergies

    By on

My cat was constantly pulling her fur out and throwing up her food, and she'd lost weight over the past two years. Since she's started on the Hydrolyzed Protein food she has stopped throwing up her food, and stopped pulling out her fur. She's a lot more energetic and playful now.The food has definitely made a difference.

  • Amazing cat food!!

My sweet kitty, Sheldon, has allergies. We could never pin point what made his allergies flare up. But my vet decided we should try this particular food. We tried everything before this. No soy. No wheat. No gluten. Limited ingredient foods. We switched food MULTIPLE times and nothing was working. But this food?! It's a miracle worker. For starters, Sheldon loves it!! (A little more than I wish he would. It's pricy.) But within a month his face cleared up and his eyes look fabulous! I can also see a difference in his energy level and he's much more vocal. In addition to this..his fur. Omg. His fur is SO SOFT. His puffy red eyes are no more and he looks as beautiful as ever! (His eyes are still My sweet kitty, Sheldon, has allergies. The only down fall is the price. I can make the smaller bag last about a month and a half to 2 months, but it's still considerably more than your traditional cat food. I wish it was cheaper! … more

  • Has Made a Difference with Allergies

My cats have had various problems with excessive scratching, licking, scooting, and vomiting so we decided to try this since our dog had great success with his HP food. The dry in combination with the duck version of the canned food has done wonders for my cats. Honestly, all issues have been significantly reduced. We switched from Natural Balance dry (chicken) and Tiki Cat cans (fish varieties). Not entirely sure which of those was causing the problems but we suspect Tiki Cat since the bad problems didn't start until we added that to their daily diet. Yes, this HP food is expensive and they seem to go through it quickly. • Brand new food, too soon to review

    By on

I just started using this new cat food so it is too soon to tell. I will say my cat liked it immediately which is most unusual for this kitty and most kitties I've had. I'm still giving her wet cat food during the transition period. I'll know more in a few weeks.

  • Dr prescription does wonders

    By on

My kitty was not digesting regular food properly. The vet recommended hydrolyzed protein and it has made a world of difference! I thought the second kitty would not want it, but she's fine with it and they are both doing very nicely now.

  • Cats love it!

    By on

One of my three cats has trouble digesting regular cat food and the vet prescribed this hydrolyzed protein for him. He loves it and so do the other two! He only throws up once in a while now, not everyday, every time he ate, as before. I’m a believer.

  • Goggle this...is soy good for my cat? all i see is no it is not.

    By on

I wonder why vets sell dry food with soy as #3 ingredient? Ive done lots of research on soy. I recommend you check out soy as an antinutrient. Ive been on high soy in my life so have first hand experience for sure.

  • What a difference!

    By on

Started my cat on Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Dry Cat Food under the suggestion of my vet and what a difference! She was allergic to all of the food I was feeding her. Her ears used to be so dirty and had an awful odor, her stools were loose, her teeth and breath were awful and now all that is gone. Her fur is soft and sweet smelling and she is a pleasure to cuddle! Highly recommend this food!!!
