The safety stop works by flipping the piece located on the side, from the down position to the up position.

I do a lot of nail trims. The brand I used to use significantly decreased in sharpness and quality. I went through half a dozen clippers until I tried safari. These are the sharpest, best quality clippers on the market! They hold up for regular use and I like the rubber grip on the handles !

Good quality at a good price.

This nail trimmer is sharp, works well and is a good size for my 17 lbs chiweenie mix. I only hesitate to give it 5 stars because I’ve only had it for a short time

At just over 12 months my puppy’s nails are no longer responding to the previous nail trimmer being used so an upgrade was needed. Having lost my previous pair I knew what I needed - a Safari replacement. These fit well in my hand, very comfortable. The blades provide a good, clean cut. There is a blade guard that I haven’t used as of yet but have with my previous pair of the same nail trimmer. Once loosened it can be moved into place behind the blades to only allow so much of the nail to be clipped. This is a really good trimmer for a smaller, medium size dog.

I trim my dogs nails myself, and originally I had a different nail trimmer that I got somewhere else that had a light on it, but that cheap plastic thing broke and didn’t last long at all. This trimmer however is great, it gets the job done, doesn’t chip or crumble the nail like my last one did, and so far seems high quality. It’s still holding up well and getting the job done.

Of course, the pups didn’t love the experience despite copious amounts of PB, but their nails were effectively trimmed.

It’s a nail cutter

I didn’t realize there was a safety feature on these cutters. As far as I can tell, it’s not removable. It makes it difficult to see the nail at certain angles

It’s designed to keep you from cutting too much at a time. I’m not bothered enough to swap them but may have selected a model without this feature. This tool is very good quality.
