Are these good to cut out mats?

These grooming scissors are a good tool for cutting matted fur. You will need to be extremely careful not to cut the skin. This is especially true with cats as the skin is very elastic and can be pulled up into peaks inside matted fur.

Would theses work well for trimming hair on paws of a German shepherd?

Very nice little scissors.

I really like these little scissors. They are perfect for trimming around my little dogs face and ears and with the rounded tips I don’t have to worry about accidentally

I saw some people had mentioned that the finger holes were small but they certainly aren’t small for me.

Small blade & silent cutting is are nice features

The ball on the end is bulky makes it very difficult cut around the face which is what it is suppose to be for specifically. Had to buy another pair.
