How does this attach to the post?

The perch slides over the top of the scratching post and is held in place by two tabs which fold down.

Is this the pad only or the perch and pad?

This comes with the perch pad only. It is designed to fit the SmartCat The Ultimate 32-in Sisal Cat Scratching Post (sold separately).

I have a different scratching post that is a column instead of a rectangular box. Could the mat be adjusted to fit a circular top? Thanks

My cat loves it!!!

He sleeps on it every night. It is a needed addition to the cat stratcher. It is now one of my cat's favourite spots to hang out, and the removable cover for cleaning

They like it to see outside

My cats do like it to see outside, but often I have to put them on it. I have one boy who can jump up there with no issues, otherwise I need a stool next to it or

My cats do like it to see outside, but often I have to put them on it. I have one boy who can jump up there with no issues, otherwise I need a stool next to it or put them on it. It velcros on nicely but can still slide just a little. It's nice and cushy without being hard for them to walk on.

Big cat sunny perch

The big strong cat can get on top, but the other two smaller cats cannot get up and over to get on it. Also, they almost pull the pad off. It is not attached tight

The perch is fine, the pad is okay

This is the second of these I’ve purchased as an add on to the 32” sisal scratching post. We purchased the first one about two years ago. Our cat loves jumping

This is the second of these I’ve purchased as an add on to the 32” sisal scratching post. We purchased the first one about two years ago. Our cat loves jumping up to the kidney-shaped perch and it is a really nice addition to the post, but the straps that attach the pad do not hold up. Jumping up onto the perch creates friction on the straps and they wear. I have repaired the straps twice on the first one I bought and they need repair again, but this time I will need to replace them and I will use a heavy-duty cotton strapping material and adjust the angle at which they attach to the pad.

A well loved perch & post

This is for a 2nd perch. Sabrina personally loves the perch as she gets the space all to her self. Not big on sharing. She can easily sit or lie down in a loaf position

This is for a 2nd perch. Sabrina personally loves the perch as she gets the space all to her self. Not big on sharing. She can easily sit or lie down in a loaf position and view the world. Cats love the height for both sitting & scratching. It’s well loved, because the sisal on our first one is worn out but can’t get rid of, it’s still in great shape and the cats still use it. Spray catnip is helpful to spray on it to help cats use it or just to enjoy it more.
