Is there a replacement arm that I can buy?

Answer by Madison L.Apr 14, 2024
I have yet to find a replacement specifically for this toy, but they do sell something called the "Universal Replacement Want" with a similar attachment at the end.

I need a replacement for the mouse. My cat hid it! Lol

Listing states "Great for individual play to keep your cat occupied while you are away." Can my cat actually use this while I am gone and he is bored? Doesn't look like it. Thanks.

Answer by ChewyMay 23, 2019
This toy can be left on while you're gone and turned off once you're home so it's great option to keep your cat occupied while you are away.

What type of batteries does it need? Does it have to be inside or outside?

Answer by ChewyDec 28, 2020
This cat toy takes 3 AA batteries and it can be used inside or outside. The expected battery life in this toy is 1 hour, so remember to turn it off when it's not being used.

I purchased this for my cat’s Christmas present and it’s still going strong despite rough play and they are still fully engaging a lot of playtime with it. I have health issues and I wanted something that they could entertain themselves with on my low energy days. It does go through batteries fast in my home, but I have multiple cats that play hard. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I feel the company could’ve designed it without the lights that intermittently flash between rounds. My cats don’t mind it, but I don’t seem to think it entices them any more than if it would be without. However, this is a great interactive toy that goes over extremely well and gives pet parents a break while providing much needed playtime. I will be keeping this on my list of must haves!

Multi-cat household must have. Warning: rough play kitties may do better with non-mechanical toys. It's a risk factor in our house, so we buy with full expectation of short term functioning. No buyer's remorse because we bought while on sale & bought several. When tensions run high because cat needs attention from unwilling housemates, a human task needs completed, or we're woken up between 2 & 4 am, this offers as suitable occupational tool. Recommend to clean the covers regularly (at very least, monthly) & dust the hard parts. We do have a cat which disrupts the mechanisms. They tend to reset themselves and resumes rotation of the toy, provided kitty hadn't broken it completely. This toy has survived 2 rough & tumble cats in our home. We plan to keep purchasing replacement due to it's success.

Unfortunately, our cat is readily able to remove the rod that holds the fake mouse. The screw attachment just isn't strong enough. Pieces of the huge gray 'mouse' fall apart in her mouth. She pounces and holds on to the toy causing the motor to chatter. Her humans expect the motor to fail completely because of this stress. Our cat is not allowed to play with this toy unless she is constantly monitored. All that said, she absolutely loves it and will play until completely tired out.

Normally 50 dollars?...should be 5 dollars...

So we loved the premise of the cat toy but functionality and size were disappointing. After a few runs the toys motor completely shot. It stopped working completely

So we loved the premise of the cat toy but functionality and size were disappointing. After a few runs the toys motor completely shot. It stopped working completely except for the flashing lights. That part still works. It's not a battery issue, as we tried multiple different batteries that were brand new. With the use we got out of it...not worth it. Also very small. For 50 dollars I was expecting large. Diameter is 19-20 inches. Tiny... sad for my cats because they loved it. But it died so no more for them. We got it for $12, but it said originally it was $50. Again not worth what they valued it at.

We got this for our kitten Seamus when he was still pretty little. He's now not so little and we're on toy #3 - we'll probably keep getting them as long as he still goes for it. Pros: - cat freaking loves it. he'll ask for it when it's put away - no sounds!! apart from the motor noise, it doesn't squeak or anything like that - simple controls: push button to start, push again to go faster, push again to stop. so simple that Seamus has figured out how to turn it on himself Cons: - the motor does fail eventually and there's no way to fix it - not rechargable and you need a mini screwdriver to replace the batteries - you can't buy just the toy on the wand (he loves that dang furry thing, I'd buy them in bulk if I could) Overall it's worth a try for a cat who likes to "hunt"! Just be prepared for it to not last forever.

Did the mat get smaller??

While our cat seems pretty entertained, I think our mat is actually smaller compared to the pictures I saw on the reviews. It is a bit flimsy, especially the mat

While our cat seems pretty entertained, I think our mat is actually smaller compared to the pictures I saw on the reviews. It is a bit flimsy, especially the mat material, and NOT what I expected but bought it on sale. The lights are bright but our cat does not seem to mind. Honestly, I would say save your money, unless you’re purchasing for a kitten so the toy’s proportion makes sense.

Even though it did keep my kittens interest there was a lot of issues. The toy is pretty flimsy. My kitten kept turning it upside down, the little mouse lever kept coming off (had to glue it on), the drape thing kept bunching up or coming off. And it's definitely not friendly as far as how long it lasts too bad it's not rechargeable instead of battery operated. My kitten came from the streets Maybe it's not for a street kittens but for domesticated house kittens lol. Definitely not a happy with product.

Cat toy is the best. Fed ex was horrible with delivery though. They left it on the road underneath my mailbox where anyone can pick it up! Horrible fedex. 2nd time they have done this! Im going g to have to stop ordering from chewy if they continue to use FedEx that wont fix the problem. I called them about the first order this happened with. No other delivery service does this! Even USPS will deliver it at the door and have never left it on ground at mailbox for anyone to take.

Our kitten is full of energy, and he absolutely loves this toy. Keeps him engaged & entertained as long as it's on. He couldn't care 2 licks about the flashing lights, but he sure wants to catch the "mouse." The one downside that others noted is that the arm od easily unscrewed. We keep having to reattach it. I'm about to glue it in place. Still... the cat loves it, so I give it 5 stars.

so so construction of toy

The skirt and the toy that moves around, both come off of the main base each time the toy is used. This requires three batteries which are drained rather quickly. The box that contains the batteries requires a tiny tool (glasses screwdriver) to open. It is a huge pain to access. I used tape rather than putting the screw back in place because of this hassle. When all things are working together, the cats are engaged, but......that's when it works. Kind of disappointed.
