If it makes more cups after rehydrating, then why does it show to feed the same amount of cups dry as I’m now feeding my dog in kibble? My 80 lb dog takes 4 cups of kibble. The chart shows almost the same amount in dry before rehydrating. This seems misleading.

How many cups does the 1.75 pound bag make
Answer by ChewyOct 01, 2020
Each dry cup weighs approximately 0.2 pounds. The 1.75 pound bag can make up to 10 pounds of food and the 7 pound bag can make up to 40 pounds of food.

Where do the vitamins included in the formula come from? Other brands with similar product clearly disclosure "nothing from china".
Answer by ChewyAug 13, 2018
Sojo's sources as many of their ingredients as possible domestically—and that includes all vitamins and minerals. The majority of the vitamins and minerals included in Sojos Complete food recipes are sourced within the US. Due to availability and seasonality, they do source elsewhere, but none of their vitamins or minerals come from China.

Is taurine added to this food? It doesn't appear to be listed as an ingredient
Answer by ChewyMar 21, 2018
The Taurine in this formula is naturally occuring.

Love this Raw Made Easy dog food for my Dachsund

We replaced Primal Raw Frozen with Sojos Complete when we moved across country because of Sojo's convenience for traveling while not altering his quality of food too much. Jake, our dachsund, is thriving on Sojo and he has actually lost a little weight which we have struggled getting off for years. He loves his meal time, has no problem digesting it, and it is easy to prepare. I measure a cup of dry, add a cup of pure water and put it in the fridge the day before so it is fully rehydrated for his three meals the next day. It is convenient, doesn't spoil, is convenient for travel and does not take up precious freezer space. Most importantly, it contains excellent ingredients that I feel good about feeding to Jake. He is almost 11 and if you ignored the few grey hairs, you would think he was 2 or 3 by his behavior. Thanks, Chewy!

Best! dog food available

This really is the best dog food. It also MOST accurately represents real world inflation, because of the REAL ingredients. It is as cheap as it can be, based on increasing prices. It went from 79.99 to 89.99 to 99.99 to 109.99 to 119.99 over the course of 2 years, but only because of inflation, but it really is the best food. I mix it half and half with kibble and Bear LOVES it! And he acts like a puppy when he gets it. P.S if you want to check inflation, see if sojo has increased or decreased in price because I’m sure if prices go down, so will Sojo! Extremely honest and real!

Great stuff

We have been buying Sojos for years and our dog loves it. Our vet recommended that we mix it with our raw meat and our Gracie just gobbles it down and wants more.

Nice for a change from chicken

My dogs were getting tired of the chicken and turkey so I switched to beef. They love it. As soon as I feed them, I stir up a new bowlful and put in the fridge until the next meal. That way they don't have to wait 15 minutes for it to re-hydrate. I also combine it with a small amount of Dr. Marty's, since they really love that but it's way too expensive to be their sole source of food. And I serve the dry kibbles as a 'side'. My Maltese rarely touches the kibbles, but my Pyrenees eats everything.

Happy with this food

My fur kid is a 8 years old GSP, he has a sensitive stomach, it took us some time to find his food when he was almost 2 years old and after that from time to time we still had issues with digestion. Now he is 8 years old, we started to think migrate his food to fit age requirement. Our principle trainer suggested to use raw food which I was not sure and could not accept the raw idea before until now. I did research and settled on this one. From the first scoop the dog loved it. We did not totally change the food structure. We go half regular dog dry food and half this raw food (wet), the food is digested very well, we can see the change from the fur shine and poop form. I also use soup to sub the water to make the taste even better. If any parents want to try the raw food, this is a good start. The quantity generated is worth the price. The quality is top level. Dog may not totally absorb the vegetable bits, it won't affect the whole result. We are on this food for over a month now (June 2022), I can see we will stay with this one for some time.

My dog did really well for awhile

I put sojos into the feeding rotation about a year ago. My ACD did really well on it and it was great for his constipation issues. Unfortunately the last few bags have given him the worst gas ever. Taking a break for a bit but will try again.

needs a screw top!

My cats LOVE these treats! So much so that they figured out how to get the lid off it! Maybe they should switch to a screw top jar.

Do not pay attention to "pounds of food"

Just want to clear up something. Ignore the statement about how each pound of this food makes five pounds of food prepared IF you are attempting to compare it to kibble. Pay attention only to the cups of food in the bag because it typically takes just as many cups of food to feed your dog whether freeze dried or dry kibble because the calorie content is similar cup to cup between the two. I feel like this "makes 35 lbs of food" is a misleading tactic. For each cup (0.2 lbs) of food, you have to add 1.5 cups (approx 0.8lbs) of water. So now whereas a single one cup serving of kibble normally weighs 0.25lbs, your single one cup serving of this food weighs a full pound for the same calorie content. So, a seven pound bag of this will give you the same amount of servings as your average seven pound bag of kibble, not the same amount of servings as a 35lb bag of kibble. An example of this is the fact that it takes 4.5 dry cups of this food to feed an 80lb dog per day. At 35 cups per bag, that is less than eight full servings. Again, this is just to clear up some confusion for those who are used to buying kibble by the pound and knowing about how long that food will last.
