Are all ingredients in this product sourced in th United States?
Answer by • Feb 05, 2022
Sojos ingredients are primarily sourced from North America. Wellness Pet Company has one of the most strict sourcing criteria of any pet food manufacturer. All ingredient suppliers, whether domestic or international, need to meet certified nutrient levels and be manufactured in quality audited facilities. While there are many high quality ingredients available in the U.S., in some cases there is not a readily available U.S. supply. For example, the Venison, Lamb, Rabbit and Salmon Meal are sourced internationally from New Zealand, Australia, Italy and Chile respectively. Sojos feels that they have the appropriate quality programs in place at all their vendor locations and feel safe and secure with all the ingredients they source, whether they are sourced locally or globally.
how many dry cups do you get in a 7 lb bag?
Answer by • Oct 03, 2022
There are approximately 8 cups of dry product in the 1.75 pound bag and approximately 32 cups of dry product in the 7 pound bag.
Does this contain taurine?
Answer by • May 04, 2018
This recipe does not have added Taurine. The Turkey within this recipe contains Taurine naturally.
Why raw meat as opposed to cooked?
Answer by • Apr 15, 2018
Raw food is rich in naturally-occurring nutrients and enzymes. Sojo's complete food recipes include a combination of gently freeze-dried meat—and air-dried fruits & veggies. All ingredients in all of their foods are raw. Meat begins to cook at 115 degrees. But fruits and veggies have a higher cook-temp and can be dehydrated via air-drying, while maintaining the nutritious enzymes only found in raw ingredients. There can be a little confusion about the term ‘dehydrated’ because meat cannot be dehydrated and remain raw. But fruits and veggies can indeed be dehydrated and remain raw.
Both the Sojos raw freeze dried turkey and chicken has been a lifesaver feeding my 2 9 year old dachshunds with chronic pancreatitis. They are healthy and full of life. However, this food is becoming quite expensive. Prices go up much more and I will be forced to seek alternatives.

Quality Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food
I've been using Sojos for more than 10 years. They have a quality product that's easy to use. My dogs have always enjoyed the product. Several Vets have recommended it.

No toppers needed!
Our fussy vizsla gobbles this food right down! We used to go through great pain to mix in all kinds of things to enhance his food so he'd eat it. Not necessary with Sojo!! Plus he has allergies, no worries with the Sojo turkey, it's so clean, we don't have to worry. With Chewy.com it's on our doorstep. Problems
solved, thanks Chewy!

Want our fur baby to love it
We decided to give our 18 mo old lab a better diet. She is lean and healthy, & very athletic. Not into food like many labs are. She obsesses over a ball more than food. When I brought the new bag of Sojos Complete, she immediately gravitated to it, sniffing the bag. My first attempt to weaning her off her kibble and introduce 25% of Sojos, she whimpered as it sat on the counter absorbing the water. Well, I put 1:1.5 Sojos to water ratio. That was way too much water, even after waiting 30 minutes. Still soupy, I mixed 1/2 of it in with her kibble. She loved it! In fact, she liked it so much that I gave her the rest of the soupy Sojos.
She's on 100% Sojos, after about 10 days. She's not as excited about it anymore. Morning feedings are half eaten, then later in the morning she grazes and finishes it. In the evening, she's hesitant, but eventually finishes her meal. We will continue to give her Sojos Complete because I know it's better for her than her kibble.

Great product
Great healthy product, recommend your furry friends to try it! May give your dogs a little gas the first couple times they eat it :) Smells delicious to the human nose as well!

Not a favorite, but edible enough.
My Italian Greyhound isn't very picky, but she is not really crazy about the beef recipe. The excessive amount of cranberries and the smell turns her off. If I wait til she's really hungry, she WILL eat most of it.
She does pick the cranberries out of the bowl, though.

I Hoped But No
I really hoped Zoe would like this. It was highly recommended but she sniffed, licked, and walked away day after day. I give up. Apparently, she is happy with her regular food and doesn’t want something new.
