How many cups are in a 7lbs bag? Trying to calculate how long a bag would last me if feed solely it.

A standard measuring cup holds approximately 3.5 ounces (98g) of Sojos. The 1.75 pound bag contains roughly 8 dry cups and makes up to 10 pounds of food after hydration. The 7 pound bag contains roughly 31.5 cups and makes up to 40 pound of food after hydration.

My little yellow Lab Smiles a lot

My dog looks feels and looks great. Before we started on Sojos, she was overweight and sort of lethargic. I started to notice that her legs and hips front and back bothered her. After we played ball she would lay down after a couple of throws. That was not like her. Now She is running and playing within reason, she smiles and is friendly to everyone. She loves the food and she has gone through a spring and summer, and now fall and doesn't shed as much. I still have to brush her, but she doesn't leave as much hair behind. She's lost weight and is just a happier dog.

Quality Food

Overall I like the Sojos products. They smell good, are easy to use, and my dog likes them. However, it's the longest 15-minute wait ever when you have a whining pup who can't wait that long to eat. The lamb recipe smells unexpectedly good - one of the ingredients is mint.

Lamb sojos

Typically this is a great dog food, although it has been dry & dusty the last several shipments. For the $$$price- unacceptable. Chewy has been great about handling my concerns.

awful

I am so disappointed. The bag of food we received was 75% powder. I was going to transition my dog to this food but absolutely not. For the price of this food we should at least get chunks and whole pieces.

it’s sawdust

My boy won’t touch it, wet or dry! Much of the bag is dust because the food is broken down. Waste of my $!

Great dog food!

We buy this for our golden and she is OBSESSED with it! We add half dry dog food and half Sojos for every meal and she always goes for the Sojos first and even whines at you when she sees you get it ready. It’s very easy to prep and we make a Tupperware container of it weekly to have on hand.

My boy won’t touch it

My French mastiff Ted ate half a bowl and after that wouldn’t touch it. I offered it to him the next two meals and he still wouldn’t. I have bought this flavor Sojos before and he ate it. I only buy occasionally for feeding in between raw food shipments, so it’s not like he’s not sick of it. Ted likes the Sojos Turkey flavor and tolerates the beef, but I won’t be buying this lamb again. Now I have to figure out what to do with a $120 bag of food that he won’t eat. Side note: this flavor also has a strong unpleasant lingering smell after he ate it. The Turkey and beef don’t smell like this. I would tolerate the smell if he liked and ate the food but he doesn’t. Skip this flavor and go for the Turkey.

Price increase

This food has gone from $83.00 to $113.00 from Feb 2022-to current. I understand “everything” has gone up but to raise its price by $32.00 in 6mos is ridiculous! I love this food but I have 4 large dogs and that is not feasible!!

My dog loves it!

We tried this for the first time an my dog who is very picky, gobbled this up! It was easy to prepare and after adding water and leaving it for the recommended 15 minutes I set the bowl down and he dove right in. It smelled pretty good as well. He cleaned the bowl and he never cleans the bowl. This is a win for us!

Won’t even try it

I bought this food for my dog trying to go a healthier, limited ingredient route because he may have a food allergy but he won’t even give this food the time of day. I followed the instructions, even let it soak longer but it never really got past looking soupy. Binky sniffed it, gave it one lil lick and walked away. I tried to get him to try it several times but he was not having it!
