  • Very helpful

Not a miracle solution, but very helpful with control of our 9 month old german shepherd on walks. Eliminated the pulling on throat we were concerned about with previous harness and collars. She seems to respond much better to this harness in terms of stopping her from lunging and pulling hard (but she sometimes still nearly jerks your arm off to try to catch a rabbit). Have only used it a week and she seems to be improving daily in responding to walking with leash. Should be wonderful with a smaller dog who doesn't have the strength of a horse!

  • Harness works great but can be cumbersome

    By on

These harnesses work great, but they do take some training for your pet to get used to putting them on. I wish they were made in such a way to indicate that you are putting it on correctly. A couple of times I put it on backwards and had to take it off the dog and start again. As for a training tool, this harness is awesome. Within 2 sessions I noticed a very significant decrease in the amount of pulling. Make sure to position the "sheepskin" padding under the dogs arms for maximum comfort.

  • Sporn Harness

This harness seems to work fairly well. The only complaint that I have is that the fleece sleeves through which the nylon strap runs, work their way up to the top of the junction at the back of the neck so there is no longer protection from the nylon strap where it goes under the dogs armpits. It does stop the dog from pulling as hard as he did with our traditional harness.

  • Nice Harness

We have a small dog who gets excited on walks and pulls on his leash. When he does, he starts to cough as his pulling puts pressure on his trachea. We hoped that this harness would stop his pulling, and thus the coughing, but he still pulls. However, his pulling with this harness does not cause him to cough so we ultimately accomplished what we wanted to when we bought this harness.

  • Great harness replacement!

    By on

I really like the way this harness works. I bought another like it by another company that frayed badly in a pink color. I bought the black one too but it was made of a nylon and didn’t fray. So I’m trying this in the brand to see how it does. The difference in the two so far is this one is larger under the arms and I cannot get it tight enough to stop her from chewing on the front straps and they’re as tight as they get. The xs is too small. Her back leg also gets caught occasionally in the longer leash strap too. But it’s a comfy, no-choke harness. These factors outweigh the negatives.

  • Perfect Fit

    By on

This was the 5th no-pull harness that I've purchased because all the others had to be returned to the store because none of them fit my dog properly due to her misporportion build. This harness was able to be adjusted several ways and fit perfectly. Unfortunately, she grabbed it from the table and chewed it. I miss it every day.

  • This thing is even 85 lb Irish Terrier proof!

    By on

I have a Terrier named Taz who literally lives up to her name. I have to wrap a normal leash around my back to keep my fingers from being ripped off. Not with this harness! Although she did try to reach around and bite the harness at the leash point, the walk went extremely well. No more pulling. This thing is amazing, cheap, and well made. Taz has a big chest and the XL fit but it is open all the way. Anything over 85 lbs with a big chest may require additional strapping. I am so happy that a friend told me about this type of harness.

  • Quick and Comfortable Harness

    By on

Bought all sizes for a few “pullers” that I walk at a local rescue, plus for my Meagle. Super easy to put on (even for an inexperienced dog and handler). Adjusting made super easy once it is on. The dogs I have used them on seem to loose-leash walk so much better. Love the material that goes under the front legs of the dog, so it appears comfortable for them. I will definitely keep these in my dog tool bag. Great product.

  • Great for pullers

    By on

We used to take our boxer/bulldog to school for pulling and he did ok but he soon grew out of it. This harness helps him walk without the tension on his collar and has a larger area near their chest to better have their weight controlled rather than their neck and head. I would definetly recommend for beginner walkers and big pullers. He's calmed down on walks now and actually loves when I take it out. He walks right into to it for his calm walk!

  • Relief during walks

    By on

My 4 month old basset was really having trouble walking with his standard collar. Putting on an easy walk or gentle leader caused a lot of fuss and aggression. I was a little worried he would pull even worse with this harness because of the "sled dog" effect of clipping the leash onto the back. But lo and behold, he lets me put it on and our walks are significantly better. There is slight pulling, but hardly at all in front of me, usually just to the sides to investigate something (as puppies do). And I finally feel relief from guilt of him choking himself and being uncomfortable. I definitely recommend this harness for mild to moderate pullers. Extreme pullers - not entirely sure.
