Answer by ChewyOct 28, 2021
To use, simply place in an area that is infested. Place up high where flies rest; ceilings, attics and rafters. Position near food bins. Place single light source near the trap and place out of reach of livestock.

Summer equals fly season and Fall means flies are desperate to get into the house. Combine this with living on a farm and we deal with a lot of flies! Besides the monthly “fly predators” (tiny insects that eat fly larva) that we receive we use these Starbar EZ Trap Fly Traps and the same company’s Trap N Toss fly traps. We also have two of the electric blue light insect traps outside. We definitely have an elaborate system set up for flies and insects of all kinds. We use these EZ Trap sticky traps close to the house as well as in the garage and one inside the front door. We have them in about 6 locations. The Trap N Toss fly traps have a stronger smell to lure flies into them, so we have those further away from the house and use about 8 of those. This helps us keep our sanity during fly season and now as we begin to enter into cooler temperatures when flies become even more determined to get inside. The added benefit of the these EZ Trap sticky traps is that they catch other flying insects as well.

Seems to work!

We had fruit flies from fruit given to us by a kindly neighbor. The trap took a few days to start snagging the flies but it did the trick.

not effective or durable

Not going to catch flies unless they land right in a panel. Horses played with it like a toy and destroyed it where I thought it was out of reach.

Great Product

I looked at several places and Chewy was by far the cheapest. This trap really gets flies gnats and all sort of crawling or flying insects. Love it

Don't work all that well here.

These traps don't work well indoors. My pet flies said it was too sticky to land on. They're picky little buggers! They only work slightly better outdoors because

These traps don't work well indoors. My pet flies said it was too sticky to land on. They're picky little buggers! They only work slightly better outdoors because there are so many more flies. So far, after moving traps outdoors, there are less than a dozen flies on each trap.

If it flies, it dies.

After wasting money on bee specific traps - that never worked anyway.... these gems are game changers. I put step-in posts all over the place... hang these on them..

Around the pool, around the barn, around the house and the patio, under the horse shelters, by gates. Best traps ever. They slip onto the step-in posts clips, or Ziptie them to anything handy.

Traps birds as easily as flies - AVOID

There is no guard on this to prevent larger creatures from getting stuck to the trap. I had it out less than 24 hours, and came home to find a bird stuck and struggling

There is no guard on this to prevent larger creatures from getting stuck to the trap. I had it out less than 24 hours, and came home to find a bird stuck and struggling. I was able to slowly, carefully remove it from the trap, but it had lost so many feathers already, it couldn't fly anymore. I'm pretty sure it was not able to survive in that condition. I threw away both traps, one unused. It's not worth it.

Not good

I had 2 humming birds get stuck on one of them. I hung it where they don't fly. The yellow color must of attracted them. I threw both of them away.
