How big is the hole that kibble comes out of?

Why is this green?...a color dogs supposedly can not see.

Answer by ChewyFeb 25, 2018
Unlike humans who have three different color sensitive cone cells in their retina (red, green and blue) dogs have only two (yellow and blue). This does not mean that dogs can't see green or red objects. It only means that they can't distinguish green, yellow or red objects based on their color.

My dog is a massive chewer. Would this be good for her?

Well he does love a ball. This one concerned me because I thought he would be able to rip it apart .He’s got the jaws and knows how to use them. But it is big and he knows the game of the tricky toys so he didn’t try that. He just rolled it and bounced it. Problem is that nothing really comes out of it. I snipped the flanges on one end and now it releases the treats better but you really have to experiment with what you put into it. I’m still in that stage. I will say it it ez enough to load because you squeeze it and the opening opens up like a mouth almost, but then nothing comes out unless you do a bit of snipping ,and I advise you to only do that to one end and just a wee trim on those flanges to experiment first.

This ball is oversized for our Westie but we did that purposely because he pushed smaller ones under the couch. It’s sturdy and he likes to knock it around with his nose which keeps him busy. The only complaint was that the opening for the treats made it almost impossible for any to come out. We just clipped one of the pegs to allow his treats to work their way out without frustrating him as he’s older and has some breathing issues. Overall, we love this toy.

Very engagingToy, even without food

I thought my dog would love this because of the food inside, but it turned out. He actually didn’t care about the food. He justloves the toy all by itself. It rolls around like something alive while he’s playing with it, and it’s very quiet, unlike both his hard chew toys and his squeaky toys. So I’m thrilled and he’s thrilled.

My house pig got bored without being able to be outside due to winter. After trimming the holes I was able to put small bits of fresh veggies in the ball. After only 2 days he knew the word "ball" and would find it for me to fill. He doesn't chew it, just rolls it. It's hard to find "pig" toys so I have to get creative. I'm very pleased with how it's working out.

I got this toy previously for a dog I used to have and he loved it. I saw this again on chewy and remembered how great it was. My mini poodle mix is blind and I thought hey this might be a great enrichment toy for him! Well he absolutely loves it! I did cut one little piece from the hole on each side so the treats can come out easier but I love this toy for its enrichment opportunity.

Good but...

We have other toys from this brand and really like them overall but I have one issue with this toy. To make the treats dispensable, you can cut little rubber pieces

We have other toys from this brand and really like them overall but I have one issue with this toy. To make the treats dispensable, you can cut little rubber pieces to adjust the hole size. I love the idea of this but there is very little margin for error. We cut two out of the four and treats just fall out so entertainment doesn't last too long. Dogs still love it though and it holds up to their strong chewing.

In-demand toy!

My two dogs compete for this toy, which I stuff with small treats and then send across the room. They look to roll it, chew on it, and work the treats out of it

Our doggos have an impossible time getting treats out of these, so we have to put in treats small enough to fall out (not ideal) or we actually have to help get any treats out for them. But, they love playing with and chewing these and, for our pitty mixes, we can honestly say that they are VERY durable.

This little ball has surprised us by how long it takes our dog to get all the treats out. The openings are small enough that she can’t just knock it around with her nose to get the treats. She has to bite the ball, break the treats and then they come out. We get at least 30 minutes of play time with it just during snacks! But it can also just be used as a ball to catch.
