Pretty happy with this post cancer tumor removed from Bear front leg. Used in combo or alternated with inflated pillow. The size was too big. We measured just as instructed but it was too big, needed to order another one size smaller. Able to wash as it became wet or mud splatter when taking him out. All in all happy with it. Bear is 17 days post op and we are still using to keep him from licking and possibly opening it. Plan to wash and donate the bigger one to shelter near me.
Our mastiff recently had a tumor removed from his leg and the sleeve worked very well for keeping the wound clean and giving some protection. Rocky liked wearing his suitical and looked comfortable in it. The only comments I would have are that the sizing was a little off and so it is a little large for him, but it still worked well. The other comment would be if there were some sort of flexible insert to place in the sleeve for extra padding or an extra layer of better protection. But so much better than a knee sock and string!!! I would absolutely recommend this product. My dog looks at me funny when I remove it for laundering or to check the wound.
We like this sleeve enough that we ordered another one so that one could be worn while the other was being washed and dried. Our dog is comfortable with it but he occasionally can push the sleeve up enough to uncover his healing wound. So far that hasn't been a problem because we often check his sleeve. A more persistent dog might chew through, but we like this better than the cone.
This was perfect to keep him from licking his elbow wound and chewing at bandages. He hated the collar and I even got him one he could see through. He wouldn't eat or drink with it on. So I got this because I was changing bandages 3 X a day. I put this over the bandage and the healing process got better. He could eat drink walk but he could lick or pull the bandage off.
I bought this for my pup who had surgery on her right leg she hated wearing a cone so I found this recovery sleeve on Chewey !!!! She did great with it and is on the road to recovery !!!
This product was a huge benefit for our doodle when she had surgery on her leg. Did not bother her at all, easy to put on and to clean! In fact, she seemed to enjoy having it on.
I measured my pup and went one size up as recommended and it was still small. Also, the sleeve is literally just like a shirt sleeve material. It won't keep your dog from biting on stitches but it does prevent locking. I thought it would be made of something tougher.
My chihuahua had a tumor removed from her leg. She is known to have got spots, so stitches are a concern. I was excited to try this product as a cone alternative. At first, it was great. Then I woke up this morning to it torn apart down the seam. I do not recommend!!!
Penny had an infected elbow, we tried gauze with tape, a knee sock, a mesh sleeve, and a long sleeved T-shirt; none were effective. The Suitical Recovery Sleeve fits perfectly and is really easy to put on her. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does stretch, but not so much she can take it off. I wish I had gotten it earlier.
My 100 lb black lab has calluses on her elbows. I have hard wood floors and sometimes they crack open and bleed. I tried ointment and wrapping then but the wrap always slides down her leg. This product works great and it's washable.
