Works Well

The SUNGROW algae scraper works very well for removing the stubborn algae that grows on the aquarium glass surfaces. Sometimes the scrubber pads just don't work

The SUNGROW algae scraper works very well for removing the stubborn algae that grows on the aquarium glass surfaces. Sometimes the scrubber pads just don't work so well on the stubborn stuff. I believe the scraper is for glass only and not for acrylic tanks.

Looks a bit flimsy

It gets the film of algae but doesn’t really get the hard to scrap stuff. Works okay, not great.

does not work

I have a standard 75gal freshwater tank. I had been using a painters plastic razor blade holder to remove the tougher algae spots. Effective but time consuming

I have a standard 75gal freshwater tank. I had been using a painters plastic razor blade holder to remove the tougher algae spots. Effective but time consuming. This looked like it would be easier at least. It does not work at all. It does not help that the blade and extras I purchased are super flimsy. I would not recommend.

Amazed and delighted!

I've been using razor scrapers for almost 40 years and this one is the best quality I've found in a very long time. It's longer than what I need but I simply unscrewed

I've been using razor scrapers for almost 40 years and this one is the best quality I've found in a very long time. It's longer than what I need but I simply unscrewed the handle from the extension and attached it directly to the scraper rod. Now it's perfect!

Strong Product, but packaging could be better

The scraper is long, strong, and does the job. It came in an unmarked cardboard box with the metal parts in a sealed bag with a foul smelling oil around them..

Soaked the parts in Dawn repeatedly until they felt clean, then soaked in bleach, then in Seachem Prime to remove any harmful chemicals. Concerned by aquarium products covered in an oil...

Dangerous item

I really wanted to like this item. But it only looks cool online. When I got it I realized it didn’t have a good set up to keep the razor blade safely away from

I really wanted to like this item. But it only looks cool online. When I got it I realized it didn’t have a good set up to keep the razor blade safely away from pets/ kids. It also easily rusted after using it once or twice. I definitely don’t want a rusty razor blade lying around that was just in a fish aquarium.

We have a 100 gallon tank on a stand and this worked perfect.

very clean tank

I absolutely love this. It has a nice heavy feel to it, not flimsy at all. It reaches all the way in my tank, no more having to put my arm in to clean the glass

I absolutely love this. It has a nice heavy feel to it, not flimsy at all. It reaches all the way in my tank, no more having to put my arm in to clean the glass. It made the tank look new after cleaning it. Only thing, in Changing the blade, you have to undo the screws and set the blade in between and then rescrew it in. Wish it just slid in. But not a deal breaker. I wish I would have bought sooner.

Perfect

This is clearly best scraper i ever bought to scrape coralife algae off glass. This thing goes through it like a hot knife through butter. Totally recommend.
