A horrible mishmash of dried, brown hay. A small smidgen of dried flowers. My rabbit won't eat it, he pushed it into a corner and won't go near it. Shame on you Chewy for selling such a terrible product.
To be honest, I will never buy this again. I unknowingly introduced pasteurella into my home adopting another rabbit. He infected our female. This hay completely irritated their noses. I lost our boy from the infection since he was so far gone that the multiple antibiotics over a three week period didn't heal him. I bought hay locally for them to eat once I realized how dusty this was. Once our female was recovered, several weeks later I introduced small amounts of this hay again since I bought the 9 pound box. We've got a pasteurella flare up and she's sneezing like crazy again. What's unfortunate is she loves the taste but this is a poor product that probably comes down to packaging. The pieces are cut so small that you can't even shake the dust out, your hay is just everywhere.
The box arrived and the herbs were on top. I assumed that there would be herbs mixed throughout the box but it just the top. The rest of the hay was poor quality with hay looking brown and withered. My chinchillas ate the herbs but rejected the hay. Waste of money.
My brother & I love this sweet meadow hay with herbs! It’s our favorite variety. I am a nearly 15lb rabbit & I don’t particularly like to share, so I also appreciate that Chewy sells the big box. My mom has it on auto ship for me, so I never have to worry about running out.
My bunnies love this hay for several reasons: It smells delightful, is super green, and has dried herbs on the top of the hay when you open the box.
My brother and I love this sweet meadow hay with herbs, while my guinea pigs enjoy the fragrant blend. My bunnies adore its sweetness and greenness, despite wanting more herbs.
The top half of the box of hay was fine, dusty but okay. The closer to the bottom of the hay I started to smell something musty..low and behold moldy hay. And absolutely no trace of any kind of herbs. Wasted money, because I had to throw it all out. We used to love SMF
My rabbits seem to love this product. It is fresh and not dusty at all.
My guinea pig pretty much turned up his nose as this particular batch of Timothy hay +, had more long stick type pieces than what I've purchased before that she liked. I cannot say whether to recommend to someone or not because each little piggy has particular tastes. Mine simply did not like it.
smells amazing. bunnies and goats love it
