Can you give this to guniea pigs, if so can it be free feed
Answer by ChewyOct 15, 2020
This is safe for guinea pigs and should be mixed with hay or food in small amounts.

Is this food corn free?
Answer by ChewySep 21, 2021
This rabbit food does not contain corn within the ingredients. For a complete list of ingredients, click the “Nutritional Info” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product photos when viewed on a desk top. Click the "Nutritional Info" tab, next to the "Q&A" tab, towards the top bar above the product image when viewed on the app.

Is it meant as an everyday food or not because it says to only feed it in small amounts on the instructions?
Answer by ChewyAug 19, 2020
These pellets are made from timothy grass meal, and are designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of adult rabbits. Adult nutritional needs are lower than those of animals in the growth stage of life. Timothy grass hay provides the fiber necessary to maintain intestinal health. Always change your rabbit's food gradually to allow the digestive system time to adapt. Some rabbits are resistant to change, so time and patience are needed when switching feeds.

what percentage is the vitamin D?
Answer by ChewySep 04, 2020
The Vitamin D content is approximately 0.0000025% on an as fed basis. These pellets are mostly made with Timothy grass hay.

Perfect Rabbit Food

I've been feeding this to my lionhead and my dwarf for over a year now. They love it. I'm happy with the ingredients and nutrition. And I love how affordable it is, especially when you buy it in bulk. The largest bag lasts me 4 months. I recommend storing it in an airtight container that mice can't chew through.

Great other than corn in it

Like many others, I have found corn in this food. It's a bummer because this food is much cheaper than similar alternatives in terms of stated nutrition content. A quick search or talk with your vet will tell you that corn should not be a consistent part of a rabbit's diet. I have seen recommendations ranging from "never" to "rarely" for corn consumption, but I pull several pellets that appear to be mostly corn from this food in each scoop.

Love those pellets!!

My rabbit loves these pellets. Timothy pellets give him the nutrition that he needs. Great product, great price!

The rabbits like it, but watch out for corn

My rabbits really like it. They get excited when I give it to them and I like that the first ingredient is Timothy hay. The only problem is that I am finding quite a bit of corn mixed in. Corn is not on the ingredients list and is also not very good for rabbits. This is how much corn I pulled out after less than a minute of digging. It’s much cheaper than Oxbow and is good in many ways, but I really think there should be something done about the corn. If this is intentional, it should at least be listed in the ingredients. If it is accidental, then this is complete carelessness.

Corn In Feed

I was previously feeding my rabbits Oxbow pellets, but decided to give this a try because it's a lot cheaper and seemed to have a similar nutritional profile. The first bag I got was great, but the last two bags I've received have huge chunks of corn in them. Corn isn't even listed on the ingredients list, and it not good for rabbits. I would not have picked this feed if I knew it contained corn. I will be switching to another brand now...

My rabbits Love it!

My rabbits are so happy with this Sweet Meadow Farm adult formula rabbit pellets. I don’t need to even bother to look at other brands! I have been to the actual farm, since I am within 1and a half hours of it, and it is a great place - well kept animals and helpful staff. You can tell that they really care about their products. I am so glad to be able to have chewy delivery! It is SO economical and time saving as well!

Great product

With six rabbits, timothy pellets were getting a little expensive at the local retail store. I happened to find this brand on Chewy. I could get over twice the amount for less than what I was paying at the retail store for a 9-pound bag, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't sure if the rabbits would like it, so I ordered a 20-pound bag. They loved it! I will be ordering a 40-pound bag next time around.

Corn in product, not on label!

I like this product because it comes in a large size, economical, bunnies eat it, and is timothy based. I normally fed Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit. The issue with this food is pretty major- according to the ingredient list, there is no corn. That would be great, but there IS corn in the actual product!! I don't know how Sweet Meadow Farm can do that! Corn is not good for rabbits and there can't be an ingredient used that is not written in the ingredient list!! I have purchased many bags of this, and the corn is in all the bags. Some pieces are loose bits of corn, and other bits are contained within the pellets themselves. Some of my bunnies will leave the corn pieces in the bowl but I always pick them out when I see them.. I like the other products from this farm, but some more regulations and quality control needs to be happening-especially since Chewy is selling their product line.

best pellets

I was buying these directly from the sweet meadow farm since it’s hard to find a 40 lb bag of all timothy pellets. The shipping was as much as the pellets but it was still a better option than buying small bags. When I found out chewy was now offering these pellets I was beyond excited! Now I can give my bunnies the best pellets with a great savings! First the bunnies may not gobble these down like the alfalfa based ones but mine did eventually start eating them just like they did the other pellets This is good for the bunnies and will help keep stomach issues away. This is what my vet said after two gi episodes. Switch to all timothy pellets. So I did and I feel it has helped ! Hunny approves!
