Where is the duck and chicken sourced? Are the animals farm raised or free range or pasture raised?
Answer by ChewySep 30, 2022
Both duck and chicken are sourced from local farms here in the United States. All of the animal protein sources in our formulas are raised for consumption. Cage free means these animals are never in a cage, but may or may not have spent time in a barn.

will not buy again

I tried this dog food and slowly introduced it into the brand I had been feeding them. I had one that spent 3 days in hospital blood in feces and bad gut bacteria growth. Another one I had to take to the emergency hospital with Bloody diarrhea and, when I say bloody I mean nothing but blood. She stayed 2 days in hospital. My third baby stated to have diarrhea she took her in for meds. These babies have always been healthy. Once a year vet appointment. I think something was wrong with the dog food.

My dog loves Taste of the Wild foods! I also love that they have grain inclusive options with great ingredients. Ancient Stream is usually my go-to for my dog, but he loves the other flavors as well, so I order others is his usual is sold out and it still works great

Picky Eater

My Brittany was on Purina Pro for 3 years and no longer liked it. I tried a couple of different brands and flavors and she loved this one. Highly recommend.

My ElkHound Loves TotW

My husband and I bought this back in February and thought we should write a review after feeding it to our dog for a couple weeks now. Firstly, I love the fact that some of their options contain no rice. We have a dog who is allergic to rice and it’s in almost all dog foods. TotW not only has one flavor option without rice, but 3 options we can choose between (without going grain free). Secondly, our EH did really well transiting over to this food and we didn’t find any loose stools or vomit from this food. Her summer coat came in nicely and I think she’s a bit softer than before. Thirdly, she’s not gassy at all!! When she was a puppy we had her on science hills and she was so stinky. When we could finally switch her to this her gas went away. Love this brand!!

Taste of the Wild

My dogs had allergy problems, so I switched to this months ago, and the issues disappeared. It's a little on the pricey side, so not that they have been on it for months going to look into mixing it in with something else a little and see if we can cut down on the costs while still getting the allergy benefits. Dog food costs have gotten ridiculously expensive for higher-end foods.

Did Not Eat

My dog is an American Staffordshire Terrier and this food was recommended for her breed. She was eating Abound grain free Salmon blend before and I could not convert her. I tried 90/10 and she would leave the 10 in the bowl lol. I switched her to Rachael Rays Peak beef blend recently with no issues.

Both dogs sick

I transitioned my dog very slowly to this food & have been trying to find her a food she loves with high protein as she's very active. Despite the slow transition, now that she's on it exclusively it's given her really bad diarrhea. My other dog sometimes sneaks a few bites from her bowl, & he has bad diarrhea after having only about 1/4 cup from her bowl. Not sure what to do with it now, & unhappy about wasting money I can't afford to waste.
