Do any of the ingredients in this food come from China?
Answer by ChewyMar 09, 2020
Taste of the Wild has five manufacturing facilities, all located in the United States: two in California, one in Missouri, one in South Carolina and one in Arkansas. Taste of the Wild uses some ingredients that are not USA sourced. The lamb from New Zealand, lamb meal and venison from Australia, duck meal from France, potato protein from Germany and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients that are critical to the formulations (i.e. folic acid and taurine) that can only be sourced out of China. The manufacturer takes care to ensure their ingredients are sustainably and humanely raised. Each food features a protein that has been carefully selected. These include: pasture-raised venison, bison and beef, sustainably sourced salmon, spring-fed trout, and cage-free turkey and duck.

Taste of the Wild, Great product!!!

My 2 little female Jack Russell's love this food! Just wish they had more variety like chicken, buffalo, elk, deer and so forth because I like to mix the different tastes for my girls.

Henry's Fav

My Houndog/Great Dane Mix loves Taste of the Wild Lamb and eats it right up. Sometimes, I add in a bit of sliced chicken breast.

Sevice

Food is great. My 2 year old has been very healthy with shiney coat and bright eyes. Service problem of not being informed the product was not available in the 28 # bag. Chewy was very helpful in making it right by sending me 2 14# for the same price as the larger bag. Being rural this was very helpful

Just love it!

Our pups have been on this brand for awhile and we love it. We change up the flavor every now and then and it is great on their tummies. We recommend this food to anyone who wants to hear about it.

My golden retriever stopped eating this

The ingredients looked great and I know he’s eaten it in the past but I’m not sure if the preparation or cooking method changed or what but he sniffs it and refuses to eat it (very unusual, we’ve been using this brand for a while). So we bought the bison in this company brand, which he’s liked before and mixed it in. At first he was eating it (he was probably starved from his previous strikes) mixed but now he sniffs it and won’t eat unless it’s bison only. He’s good at sensing what will upset his stomach and only eating what smells good to him, he’s not food obsessed and won’t eat non-food items on walks or anything. Not sure what’s going on but I wouldn’t recommend this for purchase due to my dog’s senses. Not sure what we’re going to do with the food we bought.

Inconsistent quality and disliking

The color is always changing between shipments and my dog has started to dislike it. She usually is eager to eat but lately the past shipments she’s smelled the bowl and turned away from it. Time to change it.

Bag came with slit it the middle

I ordered this hoping it would last for a few months, but now might go stale since there is a slit in the middle. Love the brand though
