When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Taste of the Wild customer 4 ever
By MCLC on Feb 7, 2021
I have two aging Labs, (12 & 13.5 yrs. old). I tried several other quality brands to try and reduce the protein level of food for my 12 yr. old, with some elevated protein/creatine levels, but both my kids have been raised on Taste of the Wild. I went back to TOW after both dogs turned their noses up at everything else. There is no point in lowering protein if they won't eat. T.O.W. has been my go to food for over 16 yrs., going back to a Choc. Lab, who is no longer with me. He had allergy issues until I switched over to Pacific Stream, and that really resolved his problems. I know all dogs are different, but my Kids love the taste of Pacific Stream, and they do well on it. I only wish they I have two aging Labs, (12 & 13.5 yrs. old). My dog loves this food & I do too!
By Ch1ck3nlittle on Feb 10, 2021
I was looking for a food to switch away from Merrick. During 3 months of eating Merrick my dog developed terrible gas, frito smelling paws, and sour breath - my boy's 6 years old and the best way I can describe him typical smell is that he never lost his puppy scent... until we tried to Merrick. He's been eating Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Grain-Free Dry Dog Food for the last month and all the above issues have just about resolved. Also, he loves this food. I'm super pleased with this switch.

My dog loves it!
By ChesneyTX on Feb 14, 2021
I had been feeding my dog an average food since I got her, but she’s developed some skin sensitivities as she’s aged, so I wanted to try something better quality. My parents feed their dog taste of the wild and recommended it, and I don’t think I can go back now! I considered science diet too, but ultimately chose Taste of the Wild, specifically the salmon version. My dog gobbles it up and I’ve noticed her skin isn’t as red. Also chewy got it to me super quickly which is always a plus!

Best Food Ever
By Zookeeper on Jan 29, 2021
I have three large dogs and they have been raised on this food. They love it. They won't eat anything else. When the oldest dog was a puppy I tried other well known brands, and she really did not do well on them. It was as if she really did not enjoy meal time. That changed with the Taste of the Wild. Now just for my dogs the salmon is their favorite flavor - grain free or not. One time I accidentally picked up another flavor and did not realize it until I got home, but I was too lazy to take it back. They ate it but they did not go at it with the same enthusiasm as they do with the salmon flavor.

She LOVES it!
By Dutchie33 on Feb 27, 2021
I have tried about 10 different foods because my girl has really bad allergies. This is the first brand we have bought that she actually loves. She couldn't while I filled her food bin and she was eating it as I was pouring it. It's still too early to see how her allergies are effected. So far so good!

She does not like it
By Poodlemom on Feb 22, 2021
It is the pandemic, there was a huge snowstorm coming and the regular dog food usually delivered from Chewy was/is unavailable. I had to order something without grain and meat so this was the option. She hates it. I won't do that again unless it is absolutely mandatory which, in this case it was.

Odin is less gassy
By Odin on Jan 26, 2021
I was trying to find a dog food that would reduce the amount of gas my dog was having. while it seems like something to giggle about my dog was miserable. A normally active dog laying on his side bloated with gas who wanted to get up and play and just had a belly ache every time he ate. Changing his food seems to have improved things significantly. He's up and bouncing all over the house again.

Our Picky Dogs Favorite!
By Katie on Feb 21, 2021
We recently adopted a dog from our local shelter and we were having a very difficult time getting him to eat enough (he’s a nine month old mastiff mix, he should be eating a lot!) but he LOVES this food! Plus it’s helped regulate his poop much better and he seems less gassy already!

Good for farty dogs
By Dom11 on Feb 16, 2021
I needed a good quality dog food for my very gassy dog. This was recommended by several people. I had to slowly wean her off her old dog food and that takes time. However, she's been eating it without any of the old food for about 4 days. I really think it's helped with her digestive issues.

Finally a food that Fits!
By kbez on Mar 4, 2021
We have always fed good, grain-free food to our Border Collie. As he has aged, he has new needs for his tummy. This single-protein food is perfect. The nuggets are a good size, our dog loves it and his stools are normal. Yay!
