I have a large pond with catfish in it. What can I feed them? Do you have pellet food?
Answer by ChewyAug 27, 2020
This diet is ideal for koi and all pond fish. For catfish, the TetraMin Tropical Tablets Bottom Feeder Fish Food or the Tetra ShrimpWafers Catfish & Loaches Fish Food would be great options.

what size are these ? just purchased 1.5 in koi and need to know if this is too big for them to eat?
Answer by ChewySep 09, 2021
These foodsticks would be too large for koi that are only 1.5-inches in length. They would need to be 4-inches or larger to eat these. These sticks are approximately ¼-inch or so in length. We would recommend starting the koi on a flake food instead until they are larger.

Who knew fish were picky?

I've had a pond with goldfish and turtles for decades. Our winter in Northern CA was brutal and my goldfish actually got down and lethargic. I feed Tetra and the flakes are the favorite. I decided to get this Spring and Fall because it seemed specialized to help them transition. Interesting - my fish didn't love it. This could be due to many factors like the cold they weren't used to or the fact many of the pond plants didn't make it through the winter. I found this perplexing since most reviews are positive.

Koi winter food

Our winters are not really harsh but this is a great food to feed them in the winter and spring. My fish also love Multi Grain Cheerios. Of course, don't feed them with a water temp below 50.

Fish love it!

Our koi and gold fish love it! They never get enough of it. Beg for it like little puppies!

Great Koi Food

We have been feeding this to our Koi Fish for 14 Years. It eases them into the Fall( since their Metabolism slows down in the colder Months) and I start feeding it again in the Spring before the Weather warms up.Very happy with it.

Great food for Koi

We have been using Tetra food for several years. We recently switched to Chewy because of price, and I will be able to set up our summer food next year to come with our dog food autoship. One less thing I have to think about, and I know Chewy is reliable.
