We just had a tornado. Had it hit my building I would not have had time to save my aquatic turtle. Would this be okay to use to scoop him up and put into his carrier during freak emergencies like today? He’s tough to catch by hand and every second counts. He’s just under 7” in length of shell.
Answer by ChewyJul 03, 2019
This net is not intended to be used to catch turtles and may not be strong enough to safely secure your turtle in a state of emergency.

Need a net with fine mesh to skim top of pond after using oxygenator to push suspended particles to the top. I tried to blow up picture but cannot tell how fine the mesh is. Please advise
Answer by ChewyOct 10, 2019
While the manufacturer does not have the exact dimensions of the mesh, they've stated this is not a fine mesh net and is very soft. It is intended for catching fish or pulling out plant matter from a pond and will allow silt or small particles through it.

Is this net good for 12 inch koi
Answer by ChewyAug 04, 2021
This net telescopes to five feet in length with no assembly; diameter is 14 inches and net depth is 16 inches.

Can the net be detached from the pole?
Answer by ChewyOct 19, 2020
This net does not have a removable handle.

Fun with Frogs!

Bought 2 of these for our young grandsons to catch frogs with, help with fishing, at our nearby pond. They are very high quality, love the telescoping ability.........but, the smiles and sheer joy these nets are much more valuable than their reasonable price!! These will last for many, many years of fun!

Not just for ponds.

I purchased this because one of our hens decided to hatch eggs in the rafters of our barn on a tarp we put down up there. It was pretty high we had no idea how we were going to get these sweet babies. We had a heavy duty net for adult chickens but it would have hurt them if not kill them so I though hmmm let me see what Chewy has. This did the trick it extended out long enough to put over then pull them towards us. I will keep it in the barn as I'm sure I will find other uses for it.

Pole Pond net

Excellent. Large enough to move my Koi and skim sludge from my small pond

Looks really well made.

I bought this for my husband, who has a small fish pond in our back yard. He hasn't used it yet due to the weather. However he did examine it very closely, (OCD at it's finest,) and he is so far very please with it. Anyone who has ever watched the TV series Monk, will know that this is a good review.

Tetra telescoping net

The net size is perfect for a small pond, however, it only telescopes about 12 in longer than the handle.

telescoping pond net

Good construction, as advertised. We actually use it to skim horse watering troughs, cuts the work at the very least in half.

Perfect net for maintaining my small lily pond. Telescoping handle, light weight, and much lower price than comps.

Tetra Pond Net

this telescoping pond net works well. The extension of the handle is sturdy and dose not bend when catching and holding the fish.
