what size replacement filters work

We carry the "Tetra Whisper Carbon Medium Filter Media" and "Tetra Whisper Carbon Large Filter Media". The 10-20 gallon size filter would take a Medium filter, and all larger units would be compatible with the Large filters.

How long is the intake tube?

Tetra Whisper EX Aquarium Power Filter has a submersible motor in the water with several short extensions about 3 inches each in length so you can make it as long or as short as you want. Depending on the model size, you can get between 2 and 4 of these short pieces. Each filter comes with a strainer which is 5 to 6 inches long.

I brought the ex Aquarium power filter about six months ago, and stopped working after power go out ,what can I do and how to fix that?

After the power returns, the filter should start on its own, unless the water level is low in the tank or the filter has not been properly maintained. The impeller should be removed monthly and cleaned, along with the motor, in order for the filter to run properly and re-start properly.

How would this fliter be with frogs?

Tetra filter systems should be fine for frogs depending on the frog species and the maturity of the tank.

My less expensive option

My turtle was free. I've had him now for 2 years and he's grown. I wanted to keep my expensive minimal and chose this filter. It is a challenge to prime with

My turtle was free. I've had him now for 2 years and he's grown. I wanted to keep my expensive minimal and chose this filter. It is a challenge to prime with my container having give, not at all like the 20 gallon aquarium he was in. Getting it to work can be done. This is in my bedroom. It is kind of like having a water fall not mechanical un-natural noise, I find it relaxing. I used swimming noodle to line it as he has escaped before.

Pretty reliable.

I can only speak from our experience...we have used this filter for several years. Our tank is a rectangle 29 gallon tank. Have had no problem and seems tonwork

I can only speak from our experience...we have used this filter for several years. Our tank is a rectangle 29 gallon tank. Have had no problem and seems tonwork well. Only had to purchase a replacement t when an electrical flash happened during a storm and appears to have affected it. I have had numerous power flashes over the years and it always kept going. Must have been just one too many. The filter was probably more than 5 yrs old. The filters are reasonable when u buy on chewy.
