They did a great job of developing a litter that works well with my Litter Robot 3 - it clumps well, keeps odors at bay, and the globe stays cleaner. I had stopped using Tidy Cat awhile ago because it was too heavy for the 'bot. This checks all the boxes! But, whoever developed this obviously wasn't the one actually putting the litter in the 'bot. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired. There's no way you can pour directly from the box without spilling half of it on the floor. Granted, a lot of the fault falls on the design of the 'bots globe. The size of the opening and the angle does create a challenge, but a container with a spout makes it much easier.

This was recommended to me by chewy because many litters get too wet and just leave those ghosts paw prints all over the house. I was excited to try this because it says it is specifically recommended for Litter Robot. I did find that it clumped well and tracked minimally so I really liked it for that. But the scented is really strong. It gives me a splitting headache. I wish they would get an unscented and then I would continue to use it and rate it more highly.

Worked great BUT

This litter is awesome. Does exactly what you’d hope. Great lumps & odor control. BUT- if you’re like us & have to ball on a budget, this is not the most cost friendly

This litter is awesome. Does exactly what you’d hope. Great lumps & odor control. BUT- if you’re like us & have to ball on a budget, this is not the most cost friendly option. you don’t get much, for us, the entire thing last a week & a half dispersed amongst our 3 litter boxes. if you can afford it? it’s worth it! we just can’t afford as much as would be required to last us.

Heavy scented

I'm not crazy about the heavy scent but it works well in my automatic cat box. I tried other litter but this one seems to work best. The scent doesnt last long so

I'm not crazy about the heavy scent but it works well in my automatic cat box. I tried other litter but this one seems to work best. The scent doesnt last long so I can live with it. If I could tell manufacturer one thing it would be to save themselves some money, pass the savings on to customers and reduce the scent chemicals by 1/2.

I couldn't figure how it could be designed for a specific litter box and be the same litter, just a different box. I used Tidy Cat before for years but it tended to be inconsistent in it's Clumping. Sometimes great, sometimes not so much. The special Tidy cat came with the Litter Robot so I tried again. It is amazing! It clumps, it's great! We'll see if it continues. It will need to in order to justify the extra cost. If the ingredient is the same (clay) why does it cost more? I agree with many others the box is outrageous! What were they thinking? Oh yes, they were not thinking. But I'm a fan of the product!

Lid missing, litter spilled out

The litter is fine, but the lid was missing, and litter was spilled out and on everything else in the box. Litter was tracked through the house as we moved the box

Pros and Cons

Was excited to try a market brand litter specifically designed for the LR as there were never any clear recommendations. Had been using Slide. I love that this one

Was excited to try a market brand litter specifically designed for the LR as there were never any clear recommendations. Had been using Slide. I love that this one does not stick to the rubber where it’s wet like the other. And the larger pieces do not track as much outside the mat as the fine sand of the Slide does. While the litter scent itself doesn’t seem as strong to me as it is for some, I am noticing the smell of the waste drawer it’s not full! coming through. Didn’t have that problem with the slide. Perhaps as others have mentioned, it doesn’t clump as well. My fave feature of the LR is it doesn’t smell like a litter box. Or at least, it didn’t. I also wish there was a handle on the box, it is heavy and dumping it in is awkward. ESP witnout a handle and the taller box. Im going to make sure the filter is good and that it isn’t the litter causing the odor before final judgement. I do love that the wet litter doesn’t stick tho, that was a real issue with the other brand. So there are pros and there are cons.
