What are the feeding directions? Will this help with a horse suffering with severe laminitis?

In general, it is recommended to feed as a topdress, 6 ounces (0.37 lbs) or 3 level scoops per day. There are many factors that contribute to a horse with severe laminitis. The nutrients in the tough as nails provide amino acids and biotin for hoof growth and support, anti-inflammatory support, and hoof structure repair and can help support this affliction. The overall diet should be assessed as well to further support the horse as this will not cure a horse with chronic or diet related laminitis. We always recommend consulting with your veterinarian to help determine if this supplement would be appropriate for your individual horse.

my mares hoofs have started seeming sore on her fronts. will this help with soreness?

This pelleted supplement provides essential nutrients including biotin, calcium and iodine for strong and healthy hooves. Great for horses with poor hoof quality, those prone to fungal infections and for the recovery of healthy horses after exercise. Biotin has been shown to improve hoof health with long-term use.

How many ounces is in one scoop? Have different size/weight of horses. Need to adjust accordingly. Thanks.

Can this be used for dogs to strengthen their nails? My dogs nails rip a lot from exercise.

It Works!

Been using this for about two months now. My farrier asked what I was using to share with another client. My mares feet weren't really growing/ lots of cracks/chips

Been using this for about two months now. My farrier asked what I was using to share with another client. My mares feet weren't really growing/ lots of cracks/chips. While she is still growing out some cracks I have noticed less chipping in the hoof and more growth over the 6 weeks. Will continue to keep her on this. Also have found its the most bang for your buck. I feed one scoop daily.

No more chipped hooves

My farrier suggested putting my mare on a hoof supplement as her hooves were chipping quite a bit. I already feed her Tribute products, so I thought I would try

My farrier suggested putting my mare on a hoof supplement as her hooves were chipping quite a bit. I already feed her Tribute products, so I thought I would try this supplement first. She’s been on it for almost three months and I’ve seen a noticeable decrease in chipping. She still has a bit of chipping, but it’s been unusually hot and dry and the ground is like concrete. This product really seems to help.

Waiting for hoof improvement.

I have not seen any remarkable hoof improvement. I am not sure it is doing anything but it has been dry this fall.

My TB has been on this for over a year now. Within the first 6 months my farrier saw A Lot of hoof growth during the winter months which is super unusual for my guy. I think this works better than DFF (you know the brand) and it costs less which is always a plus. Please give this time to work. It takes awhile to see results in the feet so using it for one or two months is going to be a waste.
