The fountain will need to stay plugged in when in use. It can be unplugged during maintenance to avoid touching any moving parts.

How do you clean the internal parts of the spout and pump, etc?

Great price

I swapped out my original plastic water fountain for a stainless steel one. However I don't think my pup and kitties liked it as much as the plastic one we had

I swapped out my original plastic water fountain for a stainless steel one. However I don't think my pup and kitties liked it as much as the plastic one we had. The plastic one we had had a higher neck to it and they were able to drink out of the running water easily. The stainless steel one has a shorter spout and they don't seem to like that as much. This fountain also deconstructs a little more to make cleaning easier.

I noticed my cat liked the faucet water when running , so I tried this fountain. My other cat hates fountains, but this guy loves this fountain. When I put it up to clean it , he cried until I got it back out. Apparently the other two water sources were not good enough! He definitely drinks more water now.
