What are the measurements for just the bowl on the 3 gallon one? My dog is 75 lbs so needs a somewhat large bowl area.

Does the jug screw in or lock into the tray? My cat likes to push over the water jugs when they’re not locked in place.

The jug has a perforated cover piece that twists and locks into the base of the waterer.

The measurements given only give inches and dont indicate height, width and depth. Please tell me which inches are which (H? W? D?)

The X-Small (0.25 gallon capacity) measures 7.3 inches long by 4.8 inches wide and 6.83 inches tall. The Small (0.75 gallon capacity) measures 10.4 inches long by 6.8 inches wide and 9.68 inches tall. The Medium (1.5 gallon capacity) measures 12.9 inches long by 8.6 inches wide and 10.96 inches tall. The Large (3 gallon capacity) measures 16.2 inches long by 10.7 inches wide and 15 inches tall.

This was not designed to filter water. This waterer was made to automatically fill the water reservoir when levels get low to keep your pet hydrated.

Love the size of this item. Makes refilling for my 6 animal less frequent. There are a couple “cons”. One is the lid. If you pick the product up upright when full, you can literally squeeze the water out. If you refill as the directions instruct, you lose the water you would put in the bowl. The other is how air gets into the container. It has scared my animals EVERY time. And I can hear it in the other room

I have four Heelers in my household, they drink a lot of water, especially in the summer, as we live in Florida. With this waterer, I only have to refill it every other day. The only downside we've found is that Buddy is wary of the bubbles and glugging sound when it refills the basin, but he's coming around. He is a rescue and was abused in his previous life, and is extremely skittish. I keep a bowl of water down for him in the bedroom, but he's slowly using this more and more, I think he will become comfortable with it over time. Another thing I like is, the water level stays about 3/4 of an inch below the lip, so even if they bump into it playing they don't dump water all over.

Very Popular in our house

I bought this mostly for my blind cat, but the others all drink out of it also. I have 3 indoor water fountains (2 are electric) and this seems to be the most popular

We had three of these for many years (I believe we brought them with us from our old home when we sold it back in 2020) and just now decided to replace them since

We had three of these for many years (I believe we brought them with us from our old home when we sold it back in 2020) and just now decided to replace them since we use them mainly outdoors and the green growth was finally too much to clean properly. We have a pit bull mix, an English mastiff, a rough collie, and newly added a papillon and a mini dachshund. All of our dogs drink out of these fine, and the capacity ensures we don’t have to fill them up a million times/week. The valves have always worked great, no issues with the quality even having them outside. I was elated with the price of these, and I’m considering buying a couple more just to have. If you’re looking for frills, this isn’t it, but where function is concerned they have you covered.

I really liked the idea of having plenty of fresh water available for Penny, however I find that I must occasionally squeeze the bottle to ensure the bowl is filled
