My speed eater figured this out pretty quickly. I left one cup uncovered and balanced it so the treats wouldn’t fall out immediately. Getting him started with the easy win demonstrated how the toy worked, and he was able to work it on his own after that with the lids on all of the cups.

Probably best for small dog /cat or gentle larger dog. Base smells like chemical

Definitely could be fun for a much smaller dog /cat, or for a very careful gentle larger dog. My dog is large and claws at some games like a brute. He figured out how to intentionally spin the windmill but half the time more treats would spill out when he was bowing down to get the treats on the floor and his floppy ears would accidentally spin the tubes. The stand for the windmill is not securely anchored to the base and it tips over pretty easily as well. I'm probably going to donate this game to a shelter. Also the base of this game is black plastic that reeks of chemical smell.

This was a good introduction to puzzle toys for my shy golden retriever. He’s nervous around new things and this he could easily move by sniffing (rather than using his paws) to make it turn. The easy and instant reward worked well to build his confidence for other puzzles.

Got a smart CAT? Get This!

Yes, it says "dog" toy but it's not large. My current foster cat is about 18 pounds and incredibly intelligent. He had a good time figuring out how to work this. My Rottweiler mix found it too easy on the normal caps and frustrating with the "hard" caps because his kibble is larger than the holes in the lids. The cat food goes right through. Works well with small breed dog food too but anything the size of a Cheerio or bigger is going to stick. Since I bought it for the cat, it gets 5 stars. My Rottie mix will keep enjoying the dog tornado puzzle instead of this one.
