More pictures or a good video would help. Can't see the patterned ends to see how the difficulty level can be controlled. Thanks!

Please see the attached image of the opening below. This game can be used with or without the lids. With the lids, the difficulty increases.

terrible design

As soon as you move the windmill the treats fall out. There’s no challenge for dogs. The challenge is for owners to get the treats into the tubes. Bad design.

Nervous dog took a while to adapt, but now loves it

3 year old 11 lb shizh zhu/ pomeranian PROS: -different covers to change difficulty -easy to assemble -my dog loves it - Stable base CONS: -if the top of the windmill is too loose, my dog has spun the windmill clear off the stand, adding to his nerves. If it is not loose enough, it is hard for my dog to spin it. It took a little to find the sweet spot.

Minutes of entertainment

I have a 20 lbs. Terrier mix and a newly rescued 40 lbs. Lab mix. Both loved this. My Terrier is used to puzzle feeders, so it does not take her long (a few seconds) to figure out new ones. However, it did take her several minutes to get all her food out of this one, which was exciting. The new dog is older and has no experience with puzzle feeders so I had to help him a bit. By the fourth time, he figured it out on his own. The base is weighted, and it does stay upright even with medium force, such as whacking with a paw or nudging it with a nose. It will tip over if your dog is excited or forceful. Assembly is required and a screwdriver is needed, but very easy to assemble. The bigger dog has been able to unscrew the top, but I think that was due to owner error, not screwing it on tight enough. Goes into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. The only tricky bit is adding the food to all four arms. As you finish adding food to one arm, it swings down and your food falls out. You have to slowly rotate the filled arm, let the food settle, then proceed with filling the next arm. Depending on the size of your food or treat and the cap that you use, you may still have a couple of pieces fall out. It takes longer to prep this puzzle, but completely worth it for my dogs. As always, if you have a dog or puppy that like to chew on plastic, supervision is required. In addition, if you have a dog that would rather chomp through the plastic to get the food, not the toy for your dog. The arms would not hold up to the jaw pressure of any dog.

Pup not interested

I was so excited about these puzzle activities for my GSD. He's almost two and he's had puzzles he was interested in, so I got a few new ones for him to try out. He had zero interest in this one. I even used his favorite treats. I ended up giving this to a neighbor with a mischievous beagle.

Love this toy!

My lab loved this toy. He tried to take the blades off first but once a treat fell out he started to realize what to do. He started to spin it with his paw after all the treats were gone. When I refill it, he starts like he doesn't know what to do and then gets the hang of it. Only downfall is finding treats that fit the holes.

Would give a 0 if I could

So I thought this was another good deal for buy two get one free deal but was I wrong. Way Tom easy for my dog and I wanted to put kibble in there to keep her busy and make her mind worm but it kept falling down and the holes were too big. Now I don’t k is what to do with. This is the second product from Trixie I wasn’t happy with. There is a reason they aren’t sold in the pet stores that I at least went to. VERY disappointed.

Not for strong dogs

Our 4-year old 50 pound GSP loves puzzle toys but this one frustrates her because she can easily tip it over and work the pieces apart. She had the base on one side of the room and the windmill part across the room with her on the couch chewing on one of the windmill arms. I think this toy would be good for a smaller dog or one not as strong as our GSP.

My dog loves it

I bought this toy in preparation for my dog’s TPLO (knee) surgery - something to keep her engaged when her exercise was limited, and something to encourage her put weight on her recovering leg. She loves it so much. At first, I just put treats in the windmill, but then I started putting her regular meals in there, too (one cup of dry food fits perfectly across the four windmill “blades”). She has gotten really good at smacking the toy just right to blast her kibble all over the living room, then chases down each little nugget like it’s the last one on earth (I guess this could be considered a negative if you don’t want your dog to shoot their food everywhere, but it brings her a lot of joy). Sometimes, when I just put a scoop of food in her bowl, she “asks” me to put it in the windmill (sniffs bowl, spins empty windmill with paw while looking at me). I keep thinking about getting one for all the dogs I know.

My cat absolutely loves it!!

My cat loves this toy. I closed two holes out of three so the game lasts longer. It is much fun for him and for us to watch.

bbroken after 1 day

Not good for medium size dog Chewed off caps. Maybe good for small dog but mine chewed off ends and it kept coming unscrewed from back. She really did enjoy the game, but not for her size. Needs to be totally supervised the entire time
