tried to brush my two cats’ teeth with this and they were not having it! then i just put it out on a toothbrush for them to smell and one of them winced and the other one hid under the couch at the mint smell. and they are not picky eaters! i wanted it to work out but it didn’t.
Neither of my cats like the flavor but using it daily has improved their oral hygiene.
It’s a waste of money, doesn’t do anything, my cats vomited everytime I gave them some . It is not effective
Works great! No brushing required. Keeps my cats' teeth healthy and breath fresh.
My cat acts like I have offended her to the depths of her soul when I so much as open this bottle anywhere near her. I must join the other reviewers in asking: why is this mint flavored? I didn't buy this bottle from Chewy (snagged it at my local pet shop) but I do wish Chewy offered a tuna or salmon flavored cat toothpaste. My cat would love that, I'm sure!
I have already noticed a difference in Oreo breath.much better.
Works really good for my kitty who has Stomatitis, but she hates the flavor! I need to give it to her everyday and it's a fight everyday.
I used this for my cat for over a year and he tolerated it quite well. He's prone to dental issues and I was surprised to find that he did not need a cleaning last year. He does this year, but it's for minimal cleaning. My cat is also definitely not a fan of the taste, but the tradeoff to me was worth it if it means he no longer has rotting teeth in his mouth causing pain. I'd give this 5 stars, however this causes my cat to have the worst smelling poops and he also had some diarrhea. I have switched my cat off of this, but it's worth giving a try if your cat can tolerate it.
I don't know why it is mint flavored. My cat hates it. After two weeks of use, she developed a slight sore on her mouth and I've since stopped using it. I don't think I've sufficiently driven home the fact that it's INCREDIBLY minty. Like as a human, I'd be like, this is too minty man. I can't imagine what my cat is going through. Great idea. Get rid of the mint.
So I was hoping this would work, my cat’s teeth are fine but I wanted something preventative. My cat hated it and started foam at the mouth the first time I gave it to him. I won’t be trying it again. Also the way the bottle is made it’s very hard to see how much you’re squirting into your cats mouth. So if you do end up using it I would squeeze some on to your finger, not directly into your cats mouth.
