Fun while it lasted
Pterodactyl made it about 48 hours in our house before both squeakers were ripped out (under careful supervision) and the insides disemboweled. 4 stars though, because it was a blast while it was happening.
a real big dog toy
bought as a treat for my son in laws service dog . he loved it . he's a german shepherd
It's a Dactyl
Holy cow. Check the measurements. This thing is huge. And Tank absolutely loves it. It's as durable as a fabric critter can be for an active chewer. So far, I'm loving Tuffy for my AmStaff.
Close to indestructible!
I bought this to give to my dog for Christmas. It was the last present that she opened, and her favorite! She plays with it all the time. She chews on different parts, wipe it around and throws it in the air and catches it. She’s figured out where the squeakers are and she can make it squeak. It is still in use now, 10 months later! Those she has made small rips in it, D toy is basically still intact and able to be played with. I cannot wait to choose a new one for this Christmas present! This was a great size for her, she is about 60 to 65 pounds and most toys are tiny.
well, we tried
I got this toy for my dog after seeing it last with my sister’s dog for several months. Apparently it’s not a great fit for 9 month old lab/pit mixes. My dog demolished it in a matter of 2 hours. Feels strong though, so if your dog doesn’t have Hercules jaws and shark teeth, I saw go for it!
Very big toy
When it say large they meant it, was larger than I thought. Only down side was one small squeaker in each wing. Doesn't make enough noise.
broke it within 2 hours
Our 8 month old lab was so happy with this new toy! Never saw a dog so excited to get a new toy, that was funny. However she managed to chew it in two hours... She normally isn’t a heavy chewer, she has had toys that lasted for months. Guess she absolutely loved it... to bad the quality isn’t what we expected it to be, it was quite expensive for a dog toy.
Adorable, good tug toy
Our golden is very gentle with toys, so I won’t speak to the toughness, but the toy itself is adorable and he loves playing tug with it (and us). The squeakers in the wings are sometimes hard for him to find, which is pretty entertaining to watch. Haven’t washed it yet, but some of the other tuff toys we have did okay in the washer.
tough for 10 minutes
Our 6 month lab/Aussie mix had this thing busted in the p minutes
We've named him Perry/Terry the Pterodactyl
This toy is AWESOME. Like all Tuffy's toys, it's hard to destroy. Our dog destroys any soft toy unless it's Tuffy's. She is so happy simply carrying it around, though be warned, it's HUGE. Our dog is 55 pounds (not sure of her height) and when she carries it by the tip of one wing, she trips on the other. Pretty amusing and she's always happy to play fetch or tug-o-war with Perry/Terry.
