I have a picky cat about litter texture (grain size).
Is this similar in texture to a typical clay clumping litter?
Answer by • Aug 02, 2017
While the size is similar if not slightly more fine, the texture is a bit more angled. For an easier transition, keep your current litter box set up and start a 2nd box next to it with a mixture of the old litter and the crystals. The crystals will immediately help absorb odors. If you don't change the old box, your feline friends should naturally gravitate to the new cleaner system.
How is this litter with long haired cats? I typically buy crystal litter instead of clumping because otherwise it is caught in their hair. I know this doesn’t clump. Does it get stuck?
Answer by • May 23, 2019
This litter is made with sand-like silica gel crystals and offers superior moisture and odor-trapping qualities. It's super absorbent and will not adhere to your cat's long fur.
can this really last a month?!!
Answer by • Aug 07, 2019
This litter allows the water to evaporate so crystals can be reused up to a month for one cat for one month.
What color do the crystals turn after a cat has urinated?
Answer by • Feb 15, 2018
When a cat urinates on the Ultra Pearls the crystals absorb the liquid waste and turn opaque with the absorbed liquid. Over the next several hours the water portion will evaporate into the air while the solids that are in urine (and cause odors) will be trapped inside the crystals. The clear crystals will start taking on a yellowish hue over the month as the crystals absorb more and more of the suspended solids from the liquid waste.
