What chemicals are used in the filters that are causing my cats and kittens not only chewing on the filters but have now pulled half of them out of the filter sleeve? They didnt do this with the original filters that came with the litter boxes.

The Pure ness air filter Item# F6 has zeolite in it, which is a natural mineral that removes ammonia odors from the air. This filter is not intended to be chewed one and when properly installed should not be accessible to your pet.
