VetPen Needles are for use with VetPen 8 and VetPen 16 automatic insulin delivery pens, for animal use only.
Vetsulin should not be used in dogs or cats known to have a systemic allergy to pork or pork products. Vetsulin is contraindicated during periods of hypoglycemia. As with all insulin products, careful patient monitoring for hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia is essential to attain and maintain adequate glycemic control and prevent associated complications. Over-dosage can result in profound hypoglycemia and death. The safety and effectiveness of Vetsulin in puppies and kittens, breeding, pregnant, and lactating dogs and cats has not been evaluated. See the package insert for full information regarding contraindications, warnings, and precautions. Keep out of reach of children.
Use according to your veterinarian's instructions.
Needles should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
No. Sterile needles are designed for single use only. A new needle should be used for each injection. A needle may become blunt or bent after use, which may cause the pet discomfort. The needle should be removed with the needle remover and safely disposed of immediately after use.
The needle is blocked. To fix, replace the needle on VetPen with a new one. Remember to use a new needle for each injection. The needle is designed for single use only.
This may be a sign that the needle may have been removed before the injection was completed. If the VetPen needle is removed from the skin too early, the pet did not receive its full insulin dose. This may also be a sign that air bubbles may still be present. Priming process (removing air bubbles) should be reviewed.
I wanted to use the vet pen so I bought these needles. The pen and or needles ended up not working properly. My dog was not getting the full dosage due to leaking or the needle not emptying. Please be careful when using the vet pen. I went back to syringes.
There are a lot of syringes and needles in the box. The syringes are easy to use and see the marking for units. The needles won't bend with intended use of this product. They gently and easily pierce. The other product, PETTEST brand are smaller gauge needles, bend easily and for some reason are dull at times. They are fragile. That makes me very nervous. They are good if you need half unit measurements, otherwise stick with these.
This item seems to be overpriced compared to Amazon. Although these are not exactly the same, they are recommended and good, too. Chewy should try to be a little more competitive, considering how much we already pay for Vetsulin medicine. Thank you Chewy.
