Are these "chews"? No. Does my cat like them? No. But do they work? Also, no. The "chews" are really hard and crumbly. My cat won't touch them, but I have been able to soften them with water and mix them into his wet food. However, I haven't noticed a change in his behavior to indicate that they are helping with his general anxiety and antisocial issues at all. I will probably keep giving them to him in his food just in case, but I won't be buying them again.
I tried a different flavor of these for my cats and they were okay with them although they didnt effect their behavior in the least. These ones are awful! They smell so bad that I have to turn my head to open the bag. Again, the cats eat them but their level of anxiety stayed exactly the same. These are the third different treat Ive tried and none of them have worked. I guess I need to start taking the hint and try something else.
One of my cats overgrooms due to stress and I thought these would help. Unfortunately, she didn't like them and wouldn't eat them. My other cats wouldn't eat them either. So I ended up pitching the remainder. This may well work for other cats, but didn't for mine.
Unfortunately this didn’t seem to work for our cats.
My cat is picky, his brother is not. Neither would eat these. I think the texture may not be chewy enough, so I crushed the chews into a powder and mixed it in with their favorite wet food. My cat bites, attacks, and can be mouthy. This helped decrease that kind of behavior by at least half.
My kitty was separated from a bonded trio and locked in a (safe rescue environment) kennel until I adopted him. Any time he has to be in a kennel (vet trips) or behind a closed door away from me, he pulls up carpet or grooms himself raw. These treats have drastically reduced that behavior, and he scarfs them down!
Tried the product to ward off some aggression issues between the two cats. They refused to get near it and one even gagged. Worth a try for the right cat, just not mine :(
Hard time getting them to eat them, have to chop up into there wet food and was still a struggle, seemed to help a little when they did eat them or tried, but it was a chore to get them to eat
Daniel was adopted from a shelter and is roughly 15 years old. Suffering from loss of his brother earlier and it seems dementia has set in as well. He has lost half of his 20 pound body weight but still loves his food and hopefully life. Long story short, I give him two -three of these little gems before bed and we both sleep thru the night. I would say they work !
Was hoping this would help my deaf kitty and her restlessness. Not a chance..turned up her nose.
