Pinchers purchase
By Musician on Feb 20, 2021
This was not a good purchase. The product was too small to adequately hold a small capsule or a small round tablet. Most pockets were stuck together. The only way to make them work was to cut them down the one side, push the medication into the pocket and closing up the edges, stretching them for coverage. I would not purchase these again.

Great product for dogs with chicken allergies
By HLH2 on Jan 13, 2021
My dog developed a food related allergy and is now on a food trial diet to eliminate all chicken ingredients. He also takes a pill at night and finding pill pockets that don’t have any chicken in the ingredients was difficult until discovering these. I have a small dog so one is too large, but they are easily broken into smaller pieces and while a bit harder than some pill pockets, they do warm up a bit in your hand and then easily flatten out to place the pill on and then simply fold around the pill. He knew when the switch was made from his previous pill pocket and did take a moment to sniff the first new one before trying it, but after that there has been no hesitation in him taking it and My dog developed a food related allergy and is now on a food trial diet to eliminate all chicken ingredients. My dog won't touch them.
By Lesley19 on Jan 14, 2021
I am trying to isolate my dogs allergies so I searched and searched for pill pockets that didn't contain meats. Thought these would be perfect but my dog won't eat them. I've never even had the chance to hide a pill in one because he just pushes the treat around with his nose. Will be donating both bags to the shelter and start searching again.

Too small for pills
By Bigdog on Dec 11, 2020
These are really small and does not work well for pills. You can only put one in each and capsules don't fit well. Won't order again.

Works for an uninterested dog
By Mich on Sep 20, 2020
My dog takes several medications in AM. Recently she is unable to use cheese (normal process) in AM but can in PM. These have been a lifesaver ... she wants these and will take the pills to eat them. I use one pocket, break it apart and one gets a benedryl, one half a pepcid, and the last one half a caplet all using one pincher. I

dog will eat your finger better let go
By tigger on Aug 4, 2020
you can stuff it,or like me i split it with scissors to get a thick liquid in them and then squeeze them back together the dog doesn’t care he can smell it but still goes right for it. not a care in the world. idk what they taste like but apparently dog crack lol they will almost swallow whole they get those eyes, now a smaller dog may need it cut in half to be able to do the same thing i have a pit so to him these are tiny things. to a shitz tzu they’re probably not so small. my dog gets 3 a day with his very thick liquid in it. doesn’t blink an eye. actually watches me fill them and close them up i hide them around the house, make him find them for fun it’s quarantine after all work that brain you can stuff it,or like me i split it with scissors to get a thick liquid in them and then squeeze them back together the dog doesn’t care he can smell it but still goes right for it. not a care in the world. idk what they taste like but apparently dog crack lol they will almost swallow whole they get those eyes, now a smaller dog may need it cut in half to be able to do the same thing i have a pit so to him these are tiny things. to a shitz tzu they’re probably not so small. my dog gets 3 a day with his very thick liquid in it. doesn’t blink an eye. actually watches me fill them and close them up i hide them around the house, make him find them for fun it’s quarantine after all work that brain out. … more

For a dog reluctant to eat, these didn't solve much
By Arjay on Jun 17, 2020
Tried these for pocketing pain meds for my senior dog after he stopped taking his meds in almond butter, and then carefully separated the meds from deli meat to spit them on the floor. He could still taste the one med he really didn't like, and refused to take the it in the Pinchers, too. The only thing I could say for the pinchers was that it made it easier to force the quickly-dissolving pills down his throat. But these did nothing to make pilling him any easier. We're back to deli meat, and trying to keep his chin up so he has to swallow the pill (works about 2/3 of the time).

Great product!
By Vincent on Jul 18, 2020
These work great. My dog loves them. Other reviews claim that they are too small, however, with a little manipulation of the pill pincher, I can fit 1.5 Apoquel tablets in one piece. As long as you keep the bag sealed, they will stay soft and easy to form around pills.

Works well
By Natalie890 on Jun 12, 2020
These work pretty well. Did have one dog bite into a pincher and capsule and got the powder everywhere, but otherwise it's fine. It would fit small to medium size tablets/pills, but nothing too large. I'm glad to have an alternative to pill pockets and much prefer these ingredients.

It works...but that's it
By mamafarron on May 4, 2020
So I'm a little indifferent about these. The only reason I purchased these was because Gunner's regular pill pockets have been out of stock and vetriscience is a brand we trust at the animal hospital I work for. I'm bummed that I can't shove all 3 of Gunner's meds into one pocket. I'm literally using one pocket for each of his meds. The pocket is not apoquel friendly, it's not a fan of the 16mg size. I am a fan of the peanut butter flavor because there's no chicken in these and Gunner is allergic.
