I adopted an 8-yr old kitty (still partly feral) who spent her whole life in a shelter. She is healthy except for digestive issues. She loves to eat but it either never stays down long or she gets constipated. I tried more frequent tiny meals, probiotics, digestive enzymes, other hairball remedies, 1/2 tsp of organic coconut oil, almost every food on the market (wet and dry), all with the same results. I decided to give this product a try because I liked the ingredients. I crushed the tablet and added the 1/4 tsp. of organic aloe vera juice which she was getting all along. Since she doesn't drink a lot of water, I also add enough to turn her pate wet food into a "soup". It's been 3 days and all seems well!!! Never been SO HAPPY to find presents in her litterbox lol! She's even playing with her toys more which is a great sign. Hoping this continues...
I've used this with my cats for a couple of weeks now, and it does seem to work at preventing hairballs most of the time. However, I find the tablet formulation hard to crumble. My cats don't like the taste much, so I have to crumble it very finely and mix it in wed food. I wish this came in a powder instead of the tablet form.
I have a longhair antisocial cat who is very difficult to groom. I have to rely heavily on hairball treatments to reduce hairball vomiting. While he doesn't seem to actually want to eat these (even broken up into small pieces - this is why I've reduced rating by a star), I am able to successfully crumble them up and mix them into his wet food. I've combined this with a couple other hairball treatments (treats and gel), and between all of them, his vomiting has become pretty infrequent. I'm pleased with how these have worked and will continue to buy them.
My cat was throwing up hairball anywhere from several times a month to several times a week. I took her to the vet for bloodwork and x-rays and everything came back normal, so my vet suggested that my cat try a hairball supplement. I chose this one after reading reviews and my cat coughs up waaay less hairballs if any at all and they are a lot smaller too. I break up the tablet and put it with my cat's dry food and she eats it no problem.
I cannot judge this product as a hairball solution. I give two tablets to my cat every day and he still gets hairballs, but it seems not as frequently. On the other hand my cat craves those tablets which I break into quarters, and so I use them as a treat. He absolutely loves them!!
My cat don’t like it at all, so I tried crushing them into a powder and mixing them into cat road for him to eat. Luckily he ate it, but it caused my cat to have severe retching and sneezing after eating it. The kitten, which was still very active, suddenly became listless. I don't know if any of the ingredients in it could be allergenic to my kitty. It is recommended to buy carefully.
My cat got an ear infection because of this hairball relief. I do not understand why companies make products without testing them. My cat never had an ear infection before. This is the only new thing she started eating last week.
My 14 year old cat was having issues with almost daily hairball vomiting. Since starting these pills the hairball issue and vomiting has resolved. Best thing about these pills--she loves them! I break it into 4 pieces and she licks the bowl clean. What a great product!!
I'm happy one cat liked these. Gave one to my senior and he was begging for more and the plus side is he didn't throw it up (very sensitive stomach). Unfortunately my youngest won't eat it but hey at least one will be good with hairball control. My youngest loves egg yolk powder so I'll keep him on that for hairballs
I have no idea how these work on hairball control, I just know these are my cats absolutely go-nuts-for treats. They go absolutely wild for them.
