Product needs to be totally dry before allowing your cat to groom. An almost impossible feat. I won’t even try

Needs a supplement

It is certainly an advantage not to have to use any water on the cat because she would not stand a regular bhath, and I can't afford the $100 for a flea bath at the vet. I towel-dried her and then thoroughly combed out her fur with one of those fine-toothed flea combs. Lot and lots of dead fleas and nits (yuk!). However, the natural clove oil basis of this shampoo is more of a deterrent than a flea killer. I would recommend using Cheristin for cats, "once-a-month topical solution for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations". It is available at the vet's. I used that in addition to your waterless bath, then put on a flea collar. I know this may seem (literally) like overkill to some, but if you could have seen the swarms and swarms of fleas on the cat, the rugs, the beds, the furniture ,and it all appeared in one day! Including the new furniture and bed I had to buy, the treatment cost over $2,000. Unfortunately, the exterminator said "If you see even one live flea, that means that there are 1,000 others, and each of those 1,000 others can lay 1,000 eggs."

Works Great, Smells Terrible

I bought this, not to use directly on the cats, but to put on the flea comb when I comb them. The very first comb-full of fleas were dead in seconds. This stuff delivers on the promises it makes to kill fleas on contact. Unless you love the odor of cloves, however, you will hate how this smells. It's strong and overwhelming, and it doesn't really fade that much. Days later, I still smell it on the cats' fur. They hate it, and neither of them let me comb them anymore because they don't like the scent. That said, I'd still recommend it, but the off-putting stink lowers the rating to a 4. But finally, a product that does what it says! How refreshing!

No purrrrs here!

Actually, PiPurr is writing this for BiBi because BiBi is too busy biting her unwelcome visitors. But she wants everyone to know that if they have long hair this may not be the best choice for flea control. She encourages all cat-people to talk to the VERY HELPFUL/KNOWLEDGEABLE 2-leggers at Chewy for their recommendations based on your particular circumstances.
