Where is this product made/sourced?

This food is made in Ceres, California with both domestic and imported ingredients.

Are there many raisins in this food or can I actually pick the out ? I have a problem with my dogs picking up what my grey tosses out of the cage and raisins are poison to dogs.

The ingredients are listed in order of predominance, with the ingredients used in the greatest amount first, followed in descending order by those in smaller amounts. Raisins are the 14th ingredient in this blend.

Why artificial food color?

Had this in my cart to buy for my 31 yrs African Gray despite some of the reviews. Checked out the ingredients and saw artificial colors. Then went back to check

Had this in my cart to buy for my 31 yrs African Gray despite some of the reviews. Checked out the ingredients and saw artificial colors. Then went back to check out the others I order and no, they don't have this. No way this is good for a parrot and senseless so taking it out of my card.

Volkmans Avian Science African Grey Parrot Food is back again.

I believe... all one would have to do is open a bag of Volkmans, kaytee's, Browns and any others seeds/food for African Grey Parrots, spill them out of their bags,

I believe... all one would have to do is open a bag of Volkmans, kaytee's, Browns and any others seeds/food for African Grey Parrots, spill them out of their bags, and compare. You would most likely see, especially in the seeds, Volkmans to be of a much higher quality seed, and a much, much cleaner seed. Especially sunflower seeds, the other guys, or gals sunflower seeds, most likely will have way more sunflower seed than is good for an African Grey Parrot, or it's owner to see. And many, will have way too many worm holes easily seen in the seeds shells. Most of those opened up will have the seed within looking sick, for a better word. I've always been pleased Volkmans uses only a quality sunflower seed, and without a wormy shell, only its seed. Plus one's not paying for the sunflower seeds (shell). In my comparisons, I've seen to many safflower seeds of poor quality in the others. Sometimes, especially in Kaytee's seeds there even burnt, and I would think of only one reason seeds would have to be raised to a temperature so high that there shells would be burnt. I am aware of a time not so long ago, Volkmans had a major problem of which I'm sure you good folks at Chewy would be aware of. Many of the different types of nuts Volkmans put in a bag of seed, had worm holes all over the nuts, it was sick. I stopped using Volkmans after that and for many of months. As soon as I recently became aware that Chewy was selling Volkmans African Grey Food ONCE AGAIN, I had to buy and try a few bags. Looks like Volkmans Avian Science African Grey Parrot Food is back again in the great shape their bag says its supposed to be. And thank you Chewy for stocking this Great food once again. You folks have gone over and above at times when I've had an order problem. A million thanks you's Bruce Little

Package broken open

I'm afraid to keep buying parrot products because when I get it I can use it. The bags are broken and seed every where in the box.
