My cats willingly eat these supplements without having to trick them - that’s huge!. I like the ingredients in these Welljoy supplements, and that they’re made in the USA. That being said, there is 2mg of melatonin in each chew. Serving size is 2 chews for a 6-10 lb cat, 3 for 11-15 lbs. I like the “gut boost” part of these, but I don’t want to give these particular chews every day - only when we’re dealing with a car ride or if they’re scrapping, because they do seem to promote napping. I’m definitely going to check out the Immune and Urinary chews from Welljoy because it’s great that the cats like the taste!

Each treat is a soft chew and is a good size to prevent choking. It took a few days before any success, and now my picky eater gobbles it up every night. The calming aspect seems to work well. Two cats that have to fight every night before bed, now go to sleep without fighting. One of my cats has a sensitive stomach. He has taken it 5 times now. He threw it up once when taken with food, but has not had any issues when taken alone. I consulted my vet before giving him any and will suggest everyone to do the same. That is the only concern I’ve seen so far, but the other two cats have no issues. The gut boost gives peace of mind knowing they are being taken care of digestively; however, the supplements will have to be taken for a while to see real results.

These treats are potent, start with one and see how your pet responds. My cat Hubs, slept, a hearty sleep! Make sure your cat can’t get into them or n their own, Hubs proved he enjoyed the flavor very much and would have tried to eat the whole jar!

Hes much bigger and more energetic than her, so they seemed to make him sleepier and chase her around less. I don't know how much they would work for a very anxious cat, but they seemed to make my very hyper cat sleepy, haven't tried on any stressdul situations like car rides yet.

Disclaimers: I have an extremely anxious cat (due to a hormonal gland birth defect) who is on prozac and several other anxiety meds, so it's likely your cat will react differently. I also have only used this for 6 days due to review restrictions set by Chewy, so I went ahead and gave my cat the full 2 chew dose per day (one in the morning and one at night) for 4 days and 2 chews at once at night. Per manufacturer's administration instructions, you should start your kitty slowly on this. My kitty also has small cell lymphoma (a type of slow growing intestinal cancer) and is currently in remission, so her digestive reaction will be different from your cat's. She is normally on a probiotic powder plus a fiber supplement, which she was taking while on this supplement. Efficacy: I noticed my kitty stuck to me a bit more than usual. She normally does not like to be anywhere near me so this was an improvement. She still showed signs of separation anxiety when I left the house during my test period (i.e., hid under the bed, refused to eat until I returned home). For the gut portion, this made my cat fart a lot when she first started on it, but that's probably because she's already on a probiotic on top of taking this, so that's my mistake. But after being on it for a few days, she returned to her normal GI function. Flavor: My cat liked it. She's normally pretty picky so the fact that she liked this is a big plus. Product description: About half an inch long. It's hard but if you put strong pressure, it completely crumbles, which is good for cats without teeth or have swallowing issues. The active ingredients (besides ashwaganda) are pretty standard for calming supplements for cats, but the melatonin will make your cat more sleepy. If you give it to your cat during the day, it could mean it forces your kitty to sleep throughout the day and be up more at night, so try to give it at night instead. Overall, I would only purchase this if I'm looking for a two in one probiotic and calming supplement if I had a cat who only needed a bit extra help to destress (not like my cat who needs extra strength prozac). It's nice to hit two in one supplement, since that will save you money.

I love that these treats they are soft and easy to eat. At first I was a little skeptical that my cats wouldn’t like the smell or taste of the treats, but surprisingly they seemed to enjoy them. I will say one of my cats like it more than the other ones and continued to eat them. He is less crazy with his sister and this had calmed him down in a natural way instead of using meds to calm him down.

Anything that touts gut health is a plus when I pick a food, treat or supplement. As far as calming I can’t be sure. I’m building up how many I give at a time. I plan on continuing using this product.

It's only for one cat because she shows aggression towards her daughter. Spoke with Vet he suggested prescription meds but I wanted something less harsh. So far, it seems to help, the aggression has lessened. Although it calls for 2 chews per day, I started with one, plus, it seems to make her a little tired, so we'll stick with one chew.
