I’ve had my cats on and off of this food since I got them and I’ve come to notice that whenever they’re not eating this particular brand and flavor of food, they smell fine. Completely unremarkable. However the very second the first crumb of this accursed substance passes their lips they start ripping the most noxious, horrific smelling farts I’ve ever smelled come out of a creature that wasn’t either dead or in the process of dying. I’m convinced this smell could be classified as chemical warfare. I don’t think people should be able to buy this without a permit knowing the deadly toxins it can produce. It doesn’t even smell like poop. It smells like the evil sequel to poop. Poop 2. And it’s constant, neverending. Just all day every day toot toot toot, my house is turning into the site of the next international fartlympic games, with me as the unwitting, ever suffering host. I can’t even begin to describe this smell it’s like nothing else that exists in this world. I’m not sure it’s ever even been classified by scientists. I don’t know what is in this substance that makes their farts smell like this, but I suspect it is supernatural and possibly satanic in nature. Solid 4/10.
I switched from blue buffalo kitten kibble to this because I read that the ingredients were much better but my kitten won’t eat it even though it’s been 24 hours since he last ate. He used to gobble up the other kibble but it made him stinky so I decided to switch. Might have to look into another brand :(
Both my 6 month old and 2 yr old love this dry food.
Not sure what was in the food but even the smallest amount of it made my poor kitten barf.
The Wellness complete health chicken and chicken meal recipe kitten food is high quality and my 3 kittens like it! The kibble is easy for them to chew. They started eating this food when they were about 7 weeks old and they are 4 months now. I would recommend this product!
Well, so far so good, my kittens seem to like this food, and I feel good knowing it has good ingredients.
My kittens were eating the IAMS pro health at their rescue but it smelled awful and made one a little stinky too. We tried this since they like the wellness chicken pate. They would not eat it alone so we always mixed it with wet food. Until we tried just drizzling the pate gravy on top and boom they ate all the dry food. So we switched to adding some water and that works too! I guess it makes it softer or more pungent. Just smells like chicken when wet. Hopefully this gets them to eating the kibble dry so we can utilize an automatic feeder in the future.
I received a free sample of the Wellness Complete Health Kitten Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal, and Rice for an honest review. My kittens absolutely loved this food, but my concern was the consistency of the pellets. Most of the pellets were as expected being small for kittens. My concern was that there were some very large pieces of dry food that had no defined shape and were bigger than any adult cat food I've purchased before. I did pick them out due to concern for my kittens trying to eat them given the size. Other than this, the food worked well for them.
I received the Wellness Complete Health Kitten Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal & Rice Dry Cat Food as a free trial for my honest review. I tried transitioning my kittens to it properly and noticed that they would mostly eat around it. When offered only Wellness, they would not eat at all. So, while I personally like that chicken seems to be one of the main ingredients (without by-products etc.), it does me no good if my cats don't eat it. They usually are not very picky, and even some of my adult cats would not touch it. So all in all not a great experience.
One of my kittens really enjoyed this, but the other one wasn't a big fan and prefers the brand we usually buy! This was a free sample, so I'll probably continue buying the brands that they both like, but I definitely can't knock this for one kitten's picky eating habits! It's very hard to predict what a cat will enjoy eating, but this is definitely worth a try. It has great ingredients and benefits, so hopefully your cat will enjoy it!
